I’m not sure a lot of people understand how football financing works Den, this wonderful notion that Stefan sees the balance sheet is in the negative so he goes to the cash machine and draws £2 million out of his own bank account to pay it off. He’s an astute businessman and will have been watching the McBurnie saga with eyes wide open. Its his get out of jail free card for letting Rahic go unchecked with the company credit card.

And that's why he shouldn't be owning a football club and was utter foolish to buy one.

Just because we had a budget allocated of £3m didn’t mean we actually had £3m. I believe we only had £1.5m from ticket sales, plus another £600k from player sales etc, meaning we had around £2.1m to spend. We actually put aside an extra £900k expecting we would likely get that back from other revenues.

Thus, by the time we spent £4.1m, the ‘deficit’ was actually £2m.

    Indeed.

£470k, but we received circa £90k in parachute payments, following last season’s relegation.

But did the club ever suggest THAT money would go towards the team? We do have expenses other than the team, so it’s not unreasonable to think that will go towards the non-playing side.

Didn’t the club under previous ownership say that the income from food/drink and guaranteed income from club shop paid the rent and non playing costs?

Yes RT Mr Rupp financially will be far happier now. However, unfortunately for fans (and himself if he does not want to take an hit on his original investment should he want to sell the club) we are now having to watch our team in a lower division with currently an unbalanced squad and the quality of footie that comes with it.

But did that include solidarity payments too? I can’t believe all non-playing costs and rents etc, are paid for from franchise payments. Didn’t I read somewhere recently that the stadium expenses total almost £1m alone?

Just going off what was said when Lawn/Rhodes were in charge that the guaranteed income from the merchandising deal and food/drink paid the none footballing costs
