Did nothing here, so based on his performances for us, not sure I agree that it is a good signing. Certainly not envious of them for signing him

First home crowd of the season always seems lower than expected due to many being away on holiday (myself included).

I'm hoping for a dominant performance, without defensive lapses. A win by two or more would be nice, but not conceding would please me more.

Let's rebuild the fortress both on and off the pitch.

Good athlete and travelled with the ball well at times but his end product was non existent. He wasn't missed when he left.

My lass and I are taking-in Bronte country prior to the game at the weekend (you've got to give and take, haven't you...) so will be coming to the ground via Emm Lane/Keighley Road/Manningham Lane. How much of a headache will that area be, traffic-wise? (I'll just jump out near the ground).

Google Maps says about 25 minutes from Haworth but, with it being matchday...?

    Cheers, chaps.

You're probably best heading up Cottingley and going into Bradford via Heaton. Avoid Saltaire the lights are horrendous and can take 20 mins to get from Saltaire to Shipley.

This! Alternatively why not have a day out in Ilkley or part of it and get the train in and out. Relatively fast electric trains.

We come in from Cullingworth, via Haworth Road or sometime Allerton, then Duckworth lane drop down onto Manningham Lane. Don’t miss North Parade, get down early park up at the Broadway, and walk up Town, great atmosphere, if it’s nice, everyone outside having a laugh. Pie and Peas for free in the Sparrow.

Get her to drop you off at Keighley station and catch the train in from there. Exit Bradford FS station via the lift or stairs and you're less than a minutes walk to North Parade and a good selection of bars to choose from.
Alternatively why not visit World Heritage village Saltaire. Again you can hop on a train from there to Bradford Forster Square station.

It is no coincidence that Gilliead played in the Mccall team that was going well at the time. He was the best ball carrier weve had since Beagrie.
He got us up the pitch in our shape from the halfway line to the box. When he had it everyone else knew their job and got in position.
Ball carrier is a much overlooked factor in any offensive shape. He may not have had a great statistical impact but he was our most important player in
that team. Id have him back any time as im still not sure who will be our ball carrier this season . Caddis tried hard after Xmas to take up the mantle.

    Hey

I travel in from Keighley usually via Harden, Wilsden and down to Sandy Lane lights , straight on up to Haworth road and then down Toller lane to Oak Lane then onto Manningham Lane. I set of early ish (1pm) so it takes me about 25 mins. If I set off at say 1.45 it would easily take 45 mins+ to get to VP and get parked up. I park near the ground.

So coming from Haworth I would get to cross roads roundabout and go right up the hill past the tip on the left and then left at the lights next to the flappit pub and come through Cullingworth to Sandy Lane then Haworth road that way.

Enjoy the game and welcome to the Bantam family.

Bowyer played 4-3-3 against Bolton and again at Rochdale. Doyle played the same role in both games, so I’m not sure why you think it will be Scannell and not Doyle for Saturday.

I think Scannell will start in the bench and it will be down to Doyle to lose the position and/or Scannell to win it

It wasn't a 433 at Rochdale at all, it was a diamond.

Is was a very narrow diamond then because none of our midfielders went anywhere near the flanks or at least not very often.
