Surely Lawn and Rhodes would have only benefited if they were still running the club? I'd be very surprised if the sell on clause was to the benefit of individuals.
Besides I've read a few times that people currently at the club have said that money went to the club. And as Stephan is owner he gets to decide how its used.

 

I agree. I don’t think Stefan or Rahic would have agreed that to be part of the terms of selling.

 

Although I agree with your comment above, apparently they were not aware of the 25 year ticket holders.

 

I wonder how near we are the playing budget ceiling we are allowed for a relegated club from div1 into div 2? This will dictate how much we can pay new recruits - if we have enough left to be able do so.

 

Not sure how you've come to that conclusion? Oli McBurnie was an asset of Bradford City not Lawn or Rhodes.

When a company gets taken over the previous owners don't then to keep future profits. In the valuation of the club I expect that the sell on clause was taken into account in the valuation but lets be honest no-one would have expected £20m two years ago

 

If we've got the best part of 3m coming in then I'd suggest we get the couple of quality players we need now. We keep some in reserve for a player or 2 in january should we need it, the rest goes back to Rupp to offset what hes put in and protects any further investment he needs to make next summer.

 

I think you’ve made up the second part. I never said spend nothing now. I said hold some back as an incentive to perform and do well.

Loosely indicated ...... But as I said - January very rarely delivers what you want.

My ultimate point being, that City get it RIGHT from the word go ....... Then let the opposition worry about how THEY will face January, not US.
