Club Suggestions Thread

Nobody is asking for this all to be done at once, but a list of priorities, and a timetable for upgrades. Obviously some of this can be done quickly and without cost to the club. If the board think we are whinging unnecessarily, then they should go and have a look, and see whether they would want to use them! Believe me they are a million miles away from the facilities upstairs.

 

Got to be honest, I wouldn’t fancy being next in the queue for the trap after Rupp’s dropped a currywurst and sauerkraut stink bomb

Morning Rod. I may be in the Boardroom pre match and post but I actually sit in my Season Ticket seat in E Block of the lower main stand and my wife in her S Ticket seat in C Block with a friend and have done for many years even as a Director. At my age I know all about the concourse toilets as does my wife know about the Ladies. As I said on another post I spoke with Paula Watson yesterday and hope the level of cleaning is upped for Saturday when we are using lower main stand only, with the rest properly cleaned for Cambridge, including the seats in all areas which were totally unacceptable on Sunday. In Paula's defence she was badly let down with all the elements people have complained about and will be trying hard to avoid a repeat.
As far as the dryers are concerned I will pass your comment on.

 

Thanks the update @wetherbywhaler re the toilets, let’s hope they are sorted for Saturday or by the Cambridge game at least.
Will the concourse shelves be included in the clean up? I posted a picture the other day which showed them covered in bird shit, pretty sure this would fail any H&S regs.
Also is there any news re the sound system? I noticed you haven’t accepted my invitation yet to hear it in the Kop first hand for the Cambridge match!

 

Morning Manc. I think I covered the cleaning issue in my response to Big Rod. As far as the sound system is concerned, it was tested before Sunday as it is before all games and much of the problem was down to interference from the equipment used by LFC tv. The system is to be checked before the Wigan game and whilst I appreciate your invitation, I do sit in the lower tier of the Main Stand so I do get it. There is no difference or effect on the system caused by numbers in the ground so there should be no problem going forward. We will see.

Just to add. The sound system in the Kop wasn’t effected by the interference/feedback that was apparent in the Main Stand. The issue with the sound system in the Kop, certainly where I sit at least, is the lack of clarity. It’s been like this for years though but nothing ever seems to be done.

 

Yes it's just a muffled sound that comes from the speakers. You can't make out any of the specific words that the announcer speaks at all!! Had one game in the main stand last season for lads birthday and we could make every word out, what a difference, we couldn't believe the difference. So it does need something doing, has been like that years!

 

Thoroughly agree. Awful on the Kop and has been for donkey years. Is for checking it before the game and might be better checking during a game when a variety of factors differ from pre match. But as a customer, I can only hope

 

I spoke to Mark Lawn years ago about the sound system in the Kop but there's never been an improvement.
We were in the Kop when the referee took the players off the pitch during the match when someone was flying a drone over Valley Parade, and no one had any idea what was happening.

 

I wasn't there at that game but there is a separate system for emergency calls, surprised it appears not to have bee used. I will raise all your various points on PA with Paula Watson tomorrow.

 

Suggestion: Sort out the ticketing website, its a joke.

Trying to purchase an under 11s season ticket for my son (who is registered and 10 years old) but it keeps trying to charge me for an adult.

Also why on earth would anyone pay £75 for an under 11s Flexicard, when a season ticket is £37.50? That doesn't make sense,

I think you should read some of the earlier responses from @wetherbywhaler about cleaning the stadium etc.

 

Have read them and the ones last season and the season before, Words are fine but when we see improvements I will believe the club is actually interested in improving the facilities, After all words have been cheap.
