I agree with that, no use having deadlines otherwise. But don’t forget this clubs whole ethos now is cheapest football in the league and thats based in virtually giving them away. Thats how we attract fans.

Cheapest tickets ethos is that why we have poor facilities for the fans. I do agree no point in having deadlines and then moving the goalposts.

Again i agree with that but thats what happens when you drop your product price, the pile it high and sell it cheap. It gets bodies through the door but does limit you somewhat in the future if you have some success. To be fair i think its a fair price for league 2 football, which at times is no better than non league.

@Plastic Bantam@Plastic Bantam fair enough I am not that bothered, and your right they would probably have to refund other fans who have bought tickets at full price. Nevertheless, it is still worth promoting the season tickets, and flexi. I suppose we need to have a think about the season ticket price overall. As @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart has stated it limits our purchasing power, or does it? Are we in a good place that we can think about incremental increases over a period of a few seasons and still maintain our fan base?

Back to the "chicken & egg" senario put season ticket prices up and see how fans react, the previous seasons succsess would have a big influance.
Or keep them low and know the fans will back the offer.

Which is quite sad really... If the only way for our fan base to increase is by being successful then as a club we're going to die along with many other clubs.

It's how it's always been, the current fan base is on the back of the Richmond years then the Parkinson years. It's how any club will grow.

This would work perfectly and doesn't annoy ST holders who renewed after the deadline (unless they are idiots).

Yet there hasn't been any growth.. in fact it's declined. Under Richmond we were getting 15000+ We've had a couple years of not doing well and lost nearly 5000 fans

Unfortunately you can't grow your club unless you are successful, which until last season Bradford City have done very well.
The cheap season ticket prices have helped off the field without doubt but whether we like it or not if our club is not successful you won't build a fan base on poor results, as has been debated many times.
The years I've been going as a football club in a very large catchment area we have had poor attendances in the past only increasing with how the club have performed the previous season, In the Championship our attendances were poor in comparison because of our previous league status usually 3rd or 4th division, even in the Premiership days we didn't sell out.

@Bronco@Bronco you're right. Based on where we are in the league pyramid the price is reasonable to the product on offer.
Cheap season tickets bring in the customers and builds loyalty. This in turns helps the club in the bad times. Last season proved that. Despite being absolutely shite 13,000 people still committed themselves to the coming season. And that was before the new signings and the feel good factor came back.

I think that proves that by getting fans in with cheap tickets works. Going to watch City has become ingrained enough that even in the bad times people will stick with the club.

Incremental increases if we're successful and progress up the leagues is fair enough, because in theory your offering a better quality product. The club can still keep it affordable because offsetting the lower price is the increase in tv revenues.

Between now and the start of the season the club could target the circa 5,000 stay aways. They're more likely to respond to the renewed optimism and take up a season or flexi card at current prices.

No, the programme was very much about Stephen Darby, the people who know him and Liverpool, plus a bit about the new away shirt which City wore for the match. Nothing about City really, no fixture list or ticket details.

When buying a ST everyone is ahead of the game as they have no idea of new signings or how the budget will work out. They buy out of loyalty to the Club and hope for the best.So attracting newcomers through price may take longer into pre-season so a further incentive would be a good way of inducing them to come on board. Keep the price as is but throw in a voucher to be used in the Club shop perhaps. I also think that selective number of match tickets would help some people similar to the Flexi system.

This 5000 stay aways is a myth @Park bantam@Park bantam told us that they where all juniors who had reached the end of junior prices and had purchased the next level up. Even though we hadn't sold the same amount as the season before.
