Not saying we have sold more but I’d be surprised if 4/5k wasn’t about the same as last year before the final pay day.

An awful lot of people leave things till the last minute.

As for the constant drum banging about numbers sold I also remember then constant morning on C&B about it

 

Back in the day when we thought we were a big cub .

 

In all honesty I can't wait to win more than a game in 3 months, surely we can manage that in league 2? It might actually be good fun compared to this season.

 

And the lower league teams in the poorest towns sell only a fraction of what we do

 

We should have learnt from pointy shoes, set a target and announce regular updates getting as much publicity as possible and bringing in sponsors to help push the total, Just putting them on sale and then doing nothing is a poor way of selling anything

 

Yes after the season we've had they should be promoting the price at every opportunity and putting out as much positivity as possible, I accept to many it is too little too late but they should be keeping the fans involved as much as possible, and if that means we are not where the club hoped we'd be with season ticket sale so be it.

 

Thing is they can not win.

I agree they should be pushing them constantly and sending emails, tweets etc but if they did that there would be people moaning about over kill and having it rammed down their throat

 

The next week is the time for that let’s see what happens

 

Just done a bit of googling and, two years ago, the season tickets early bird deal ran March 1st to April 16th. We'd sold 12k on March 31st and 17k on April 6th so many were bought as people got paid at the end of March. I believe it eventually hit 18.5k (plus nearly 1k charitable and freebies?). Last year it ran from 6th March to 6th April. From my failing memory, anecdotes suggested we sold over half of the running total in the last two weeks of that but you'd expect that with only a month window and payday sales surge. I say running total because the offer was extended to April 16th on April 4th.

 

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - Gets you, does that ........ The halcyon days of 'the feel good factor'.

 

Not sure you look on social media as they are pushing season tickets like mad and getting sponsors in on the action with the #ourcity board going round loads of sponsors/companies. I'd say the club are doing as much, if not more than when James was here.

 

I think some fans panic too easily, I reckon we will easily sell 5000 ST's by the time season starts, which in my opinion is an excellent figure considering what's happened to the club.

 

Doing nothing? That's unfair Trevor - have you not seen all the photos they've posted of random people smiling and holding the 'Our City' banner? If that doesn't generate thousands of sales I don't know what will.

 

Wowee am l glad they are not trying to coerce me, my money is safe then! Try writing something useful, like trying to coerce the club into reconnecting with disillusioned fans. You won't be happy till there is a solid hard core of 5 or 6k.

Negativity? Ha ha, bottom of league 3, lost 25 and counting, what positive planet are you on?

Ryan Sparks saying season ticket sales have picked up (yes I know he would say that) but sounded positive, also said totally different to last year after Simon Grayson had turned us down as a club we did not know which way we were going, where as this season we have Julian in place with afew appointments to make and Gary Bowyer already planning for next season, don't like the fact that we will be back in the khazi league, and yes I know it's no consolation but it has been worse, come on guys dig deep .
