I've no faith though. Rhodes and the board messed up in Jan with transfer that it was embarrassing.

We were unbalanced in Jan and with Anderson, Butterfield, Clarke and P' O'Connor we fell over! How can a team get more unbalanced? Joke!

Look, I am pleased other people are coming in. We need real football people in the ranks now. Not Mason though. It's not a mates club.

Maybe, a director of football or something because the club is a mess. Manager decisions - WRONG!

Player signings - a JOKE!

Glad Rupp has admitted responsibility so some of the mess because he has to carry a bit of the can and credit to him for standing up and Rhodes too.

I really hope Rupp and the board prove that they're fit enough to run the club!

 

I think the managerial appointment is key we need a manager who can identify good free transfers and loans and hopefully it will be Bowyer who has shown he can do it and should be starting the process straight away

Last thing we need is a late summer managerial appointment (sound familiar?) and a scramble for dross players.
Hopefully Bowyer stays and starts the recruitment early. Forget about January signings, it's always a poor time to recruit players.

 

Not really much more they could have said at the moment and for me it’s the best outcome at least for the time being.

I get the feeling Rupp has a real feeling of guilt for what has happened and is prepared to do what he can to put it right.

 

The statements good news in at least they're willing to stick around and not abandon ship. This season's failure is solely down to one man imo Rahic. Time to rebuild, we can't be Rahic's victim's, can't let him win.

 

Remains to be seen if Bowyer will succeed where the last managers haven't
I truly think the statement has taken a bit of pressure (rightly or wrongly) off the players as now the club have resigned themselves to the possibility of L2 football
I would like to see a mass exodus of the dross purporting to be Bradford City players and new life breathed into the club on and off the pitch during the summer before I am convinced of anything

 

It’s not going to be easy but I am looking forward to see what happens. Unlike this season is should be team we concentrate on not individuals

Sorry but it doesn't convince me at all ! ..just words ?; from Rupp & Rhodes having driven the club off a cliff ! A relegation of their making and now they're asking us to accept this guff ?

This need never have happened. As for Bowyer he might seem a decent fella but he's already failing and no he didn't have to keep us up to pass the test ! To me he's just the 2019 Wetherall !.

It's simply not good enough Rhodes has previous for this in 2007 When his actions relegated us ! So as I read it we're smashing League 2 next season; signing ALL the best players and it's 100 goals 100 point's!'..right then over to you Rupp & Rhodes!

I never said I didn't want them to stay did I? Just there was no clarification on anything really... that they understand fans are waiting to see what league were in so they're extending ticket deadline, what's going to happen with the outcasts of this team, and under contract players, what's gonna happen long long term, is he prepared to put mega money into this club to get us promoted next season, not just say a 'competitive budget

 

How is he another Wetherall?

Wetherall had no managerial experience whatsoever, whereas Bowyer has served his apprenticeship at Blackurn, under difficult owners, and he then went on to do a good job at Blackpool, under even more difficult owners. So Bowyer, in my opinion, has the right credentials to be trusted to rebuild our team and revive our fortunes going forward. I hope an extension to his contract is announced sooner rather than later, then he can have all summer to start the difficult task in hand

 

A decent reassuring statement but something is missing, i don't know what, but it needed something more to get the juices flowing and lift the gloom.
I don't think that statement will sell season tickets.

 

You really think Rhodes is at fault for our relegation? I blame Rahic, end of. And Rupp takes responsibility too but Rhodes?

I posted on here after the Blackpool debacle askin for some information about our future. This goes some way - it’s not comprehensive but there are elements that are bound to be sensitive.

It does provide some reassurance and whilst actions will have to speak much louder than words, this does help me move back towards renewing for next season.

 

The very fact that we are going to be competitive after all the doom and gloom around recently is great news .there is no chance of Mega money being spent and nor should it be. We will be a division two team and we need players for that league.

 

What exactly do you want them to say? No one knows what's going to happen to the contract players. It's far too early to say. Not only that but they may well hold the power, they have a contract.
As for the money. They've stated a competitive budget. I assume that would mean something like top 8 in league 2 (if not higher).
No one is prepared to put mega money into this club, unless you know someone who is?

 

Well it could have been a lot worse, I am relieved and feel optimistic that the intent is there to stop the rot and get us on the front foot again next season.There has to be a point when we move on from the disastrous events of the past season.

 

Remember last season when Rupp said “we have learnt lessons” speech. Sorry to be cynical but actions speak louder than these words. I reserve judgement.

PS season tickets already renewed as I will never learn.

 

Can't argue with that but firstly we need a good experienced manager at L2 level who has the where with all to get his own players/ management team in place and be aggressive enough to get what he wants Bowyer is very much on trial for me but decisions need to be made quickly and next seasons squad to be assembled NOW or we will fall into the same trap of having a squad full of strangers on the opening day again. On the pitch is the launch pad to success and getting the right players like Parky did is paramount
