Nothing short of pathetic to call for a managers head after 3 matches.

Can’t just sack a manager after every loss, take a step back and get some perspective.

Agreed, we would get a Luton-esque type points deduction.

And there’s no guarantee we would come back as strong either.

Managers at this level make mistakes. Pep got it wrong yesterday and had to bring on 3 subs to change the game.

We don’t have that luxury. He got it wrong. He will probably admit that. EVERY manager at this level will make mistakes and lose a game.

Was thinking the same, we stumbled on a 2 Million rated striker with pace to burn, without Nakhi we probably wouldnt have have gone up. We are going to need a decent goalscorer. Dare i say the scene is set for Hanson as a strike partner.

Agree @How@How , but yesterday’s subs altered nothing. From a defensive POV, he got it right IMO. But the formation ahead of the two holding midfielders was all wrong and clear to see within the first 10mins. With respect to Oxford, a more form team would have absolutely annihilated us yesterday. Oxford did by performance and stats, just not by result.

I’m not calling for Bowyers head. I actually hope he will be here next season. However, as we all do in our professional career, yesterday he got it so wrong. Just so happened it was on a day he couldn’t afford to.

I’d have taken an injury free James Hanson back in a heartbeat this season.

Payne was ill so he was out of the reckoning really until later on.

If people are saying take Clarke off, who else can play that role?

No you dare not. That time has gone. Certainly need a new strikeforce next season. Ours this season offer next to nothing.

Takes some beating doesn't it, questioning a managers long term ability after 3 games. FFS.

Unless the receiver could miraculously sell them as "assets of the club"

You have clearly not done your homework on Bowyer's time at Blackpool to suggest he walked because they were struggling

It was the formation what was all wrong. Isolating Butterfield, when Payne wasn’t for, was just a criminal mistake.
    Clarke on the right?
    Butterfield our wide?
Why? It wasn’t working straight from the start. We needed to get Butterfield on the ball and he was stood out wide. He didn’t even need to make subs to change things, but it remained and we looked content with a point.

    It's the last I think I want
But have heard nothing to suguest we know of another way out
Would take the points deduction this season if that's possible
And to be fair could we really come back any weaker

I think that is a distinct possibility. Blackpool's form has been poor recently (let's hope it doesn't pick up next Saturday) and Bowyer remains highly regarded by their supporters.
However, Bradford City is a bigger club with greater potential than Blackpool. If the mess at boardroom/ownership level is sorted out Bowyer might choose Bradford over the seaside.

We need to do everything we can to keep Bowyer. Last thing we need is another managerial change. Those calling for his head because of yesterday are pathetic. I think hes just the type we need to rebuild.

Bradford Bulldogs at the Ice Arena. Amateur league but full of hard work and excitement. Cheap to get in too. See bradfordbulldogs.co.uk.

Win ratio is the single most basic and illogical method of judging a manager that can possibly be used.
