L1 Table makes nervous reading tonight, defeat saturday infact anything less than a win is unthinkable.

Eight points between 13th and 24th. It's going to be an "interesting" run-in.

Who is that massive defender they have? Towered above Clarke.

Not moaning just passing an honest opinion, I thought the first half was men Vs boys there movement was a joy to watch, second half we improved and should have had a penalty, but overall until the last 10 or so minutes I thought Luton had done a very professional job on us, Oxford becomes an even bigger game come Saturday.

Tonight was always going to be almost mission impossible against a team unbeaten in 6 months top scorers one of the best defences and the best teM in the league.
We gave it a real good go so we can go on to Oxford with confidence we can win there

The only thing Luton did well for me was cheat and time waste. And that's not a dig at them, because we need to be more like that. We're too soft and players like NKP and Chicksen are weak as piss and get bullied every single game. We need to start being hard bastards, a couple of dirty fouls on players, surrounding the refs, falling over at every opportunity because we're getting nowhere by being nice.

I get that, but if we had been given the penalty as we should've done, I think we get a point. And then their fans probably have my point of view as to how average they were.

They had two. Sonny Bradley was one.

The template for what we need at the back next season, whatever division we’re in.

    Far too negative all round.

Too much backward and sideways passing.

Managers subs like for like....couldve thrown more bodies forward by taking off midfielder or defender.

Miller should've been on bench....Oconnor taking his place sure Akpan couldve gone to centre defence if we'd got an injury there.

Subs were a joke too. How our best player is sat on the bench when we're losing is beyond me, especially when that donkey Omari Patrick gets game time.

Isn't football a great game how fans see the game totally different, coming home in the car I heard Jason Thornton saying we were unlucky second half, unfortunately Jason the game consists of two halves and we should have been 2/3 down at half time Luton were the far the better side.
Yes we were better the second half but as you say there rarely looked troubled until the last 15 minutes or so, all their good work could have been undone if Ball could have put his chance away and of course at 1-0 there is always a chance of the referee making a mistake unfortunately tonight he came a very close second to Matt Donohue, and did not award us the penalty.

I disagree. I welcome the approach in trying to pass the ball. It needs to be quicker and more incisive, with more forward runs off the ball - but he’s had two games, against top 7 sides! It takes time to build that approach into something more effective.

Luton are simply a better side than us in every department. Bowyer approached the game as I expected. Our only chance was to keep it tight. The way the game shaped up, ‘going for it’ would’ve been more likely to see a Luton goal than a City goal. They’d have picked us off. A bit more composure or a bit of luck is what was needed tonight.

Now, if we need a goal against oxford, or in one of our more winnable home games, I’d absolutely expect us to make more adventurous changes.

Luton were the template - they had a bit more composure and movement on the ball, and were resilient, physical and snidey off the ball. Exactly what it takes at this level. And league 2.

Someone mentioned that on their forum and one of the responses was - we've scored 5 goals to their 0 in two matches this season. Bet they wish they were that average.

Oh well, we just have to hope we can get out of this $hithole we've got ourselves in.

Billy Clarke is a waste of space and I was amazed that he came on instead of Payne.

If don't know if Payne is carrying a knock but I understand why he isn't starting.

Ball, Butterfield, OB and Payne doesn't work as they're similar and I can understand why Anderson and Akpan are starting. I would of had Wright on for Anderson though and Payne for OB.

Payne has a battle to get into the team it looks like.

Well city another defeat but can actually take positives from that. Luton are top of the league for a reason and we made them really work for that. Better team second half and deserved at least a point there imo

One of our leading goalscorers has a battle to get into the team when we're not scoring goals, losing and getting relegated?

    Summat wrong there.

I would of brought him on for sure.

For Bowyer left the sub way, way too late.
