JR needs to push season ticket sales with a tag along the lines of "sell 15000 and we pay them all off" :)

Didn't Sunderland get rid of a couple of very high earners using that tactic ?

Were all gutted with our players poor performances this season but you sound like you've given up on our season @trevor@trevor ?..
There aren't many positives we can take so far from the current season but until we need 4 point and only have Wimbledon at home on 4th May I'll still hold out hope that these players and our new manager can get enough points to keep us in league one, then he sits down with Julian (if hes still here) and Stefan and voices what he needs to turn the club around the coming season.

Agree with this post but I don't think there's anything here that we haven't known for a while or isn't blindingly obvious, even without knowing all the details. The powers-that-be will certainly be more than aware of the state we're in, I certainly don't believe Rhodes is naive enough not to know the extent of the damage and neither is Rupp.

The thing is, what can they do that they aren't already doing?

No not given up at all @Bronco@Bronco , Just do not want the club to go down the short-ism route and end up doing this again at the end of the season ( Grayson ), If the calibre of manager we need has applied then give him longer and let him bring in his own team and build the club, If he staves off relegation great but we must be realistic and also think can the next manager get us promoted if he cannot save us from relegation

My fears are that's what his financial advisers will be telling him especially as we haven't an asset to our name
    Then What !!!!
Everyone is saying how it's vital we appoint the right manager (which it is) but firstly and more importantly we need to know who will be in charge of the whole club
Should he decide enough is enough and put it into admin surely that's best done now and take the points hit as we are virtually down now rather than start next season with a minus points total
Any prospective purchaser will be waiting to see which way he jumps and are on a winner either way
L2 club worth far less, buying through a receiver even less
Feel sorry for Mr Rupp he is totally screwed whatever

And did you also hear that Rupp is covering this loss?

If the loss is of such magnitude, how come there is no evidence at Companies House of any equity or loans being put into the club by Rupp or anybody else for that matter?

Christ. If true 15,000 adult season ticket purchases would not come close to covering that debt (assuming that's what we used the ST money for).

I'm not doubting the comment Bronco, it just seems strange 'liking' a post which is quite upsetting really.

Well seeing as Julian estimates £2 million back in January. I am not surprised it is rising, the club is broke, so until we get some money in that is not coming from Rupp pocket the debt will continue to rise. It depends whether he will write it off against experience or not. Plus I doubt we will be able to generate enough money next season, it will continue to rise.

IF I were Stefan, I'd be regretting the added burden of the revised Payne (pain) deal. :(

Alright I chuck one in ! Have a look at the inside pages of a Bradford City Match Day programme. Notice all these "associate Directors" and Club Life President in amongst all the rank incompetence what's their part in all this. Are they just there for the match day hospitality and Wembley trips. If not then they all would be quick to tell us how successful their businesses are I sure !,So how come all of them as far as it would seem sit their and make absolutely zero effort to stop this basket case club hurtling into oblivion ? Surely all those "business minds" might at some point raise their concerns about how Bradford City FC reflects on them and their own reputation ?

Is there any evidence for the 2 million quoted in the YEP ?

No there isn't. And that's because nobody has invested £2mill into the club at this stage. And that's because a deficit of that magnitude has yet to be crystallised. If a loss of this magnitude really had happened already, somebody (and probably the major shareholder) would already have needed to cover it in some way.

This is the critical comment from Sutcliffe/Rhodes in that article ....

"Rupp, as the club’s majority shareholder, has pledged to cover that deficit" [my italics]

That means that the deficit has yet to manifest itself but when it does then at that point Rupp will cover it. The corollary of that is that it doesn't need to be covered yet because it doesn't yet exist despite all of the rumours and hearsay.

Pick the right manager and it will get sorted out over a season or two.

This appointment is crucial and can not be for the short term. The manager will bring with them a structure and if we believe in it and invest in it where we can then the club will turn around.

We have to stop these “quick fix” managers who are not in it for the long term. It’s the reason our squad is the way it is. It’s been assembled by nearly 5 different people now.

Get the right manager and the rest will follow
