Finding positives in performances and results does not mean you are happy if we play in the conference or equivalent. That doesn’t make sense

Sorry I don’t agree with your last point. If someone is trying to pull the positives out of a dire situation to balance the debate, does not mean they want or is happy to see us relegated or playing in the National League. I have absolutely no intention of watching City play outside of the EFL, it will be grind my teeth time if we get relegated.

Trying to find the positives is a mind set, and while there is still a chance I will continue to try, and at the moment we are 1 point of safety with several games to go. My advice is don’t look down the road beyond Saturday, there is absolutely no point and never get to low after a defeat and never get to high after a win, the latter point was from the one and only Stuart McCall.

thats why I said 'it makes it look like...' rather than saying outright thats what it means, I don't think anyone on here would revel in us doing badly, positive mindset or negative.

it's just how it comes across, just as it comes across to keefly that Fordy would like to see us get relegated.

We are all guilty of taking a position in a debate and hanging on for dear life just to save face. Relax it doesn’t matter either way, the only thing that matters now is that we crawl across the league 1 line in May.

Really not looking forward to Saturday, and its been a while since that.

Thought we turned a corner under DH until he reverted to hoofball.

We could get hammered on Saturday... I'm hoping DH has something up his sleeve though the little ginger pep :)

If we lose on Saturday the only thing up Hopkin's sleeve should be his P45. The guy has run out of ideas/tactics, if there were any there in the first place.

And it was twelve years ago yesterday that the premature sacking of Colin Todd with no replacement lined up that pretty much sealed our last relegation from this level. Always worth remembering...

And just remind me... who was the Chairman at the time who was responsible for that premature decision?

Yep. Lessons learned (hopefully anyway!), as proven when he had plenty of opportunity to fire Parky and didn't.

On reflection I can think of 5 positive things that have happened in the last 12 months. Your definition of positive will be different to mine of course.
    1. Rahic is relieved of his duties
    2. Julian Rhodes returned
    3. Excellent season ticket prices for next season announced
    4. Lewis O'Brien and Jack Payne
    5.The pitch improvements

I guess I should ask you to name 5 now as well?

A little bit of fun before the match thread kicks in here...

Wandering around the web, as one does, one found a website, Football365, with an interesting preview for our match. How shall we counter Plymouth's "probable" 4-5-1 line-up? With an "any midfield you can flood, we can flood more" approach: 3-6-1 (!) But that's not all; our defenders will include a certain Kilgallon, our midfield Wright, Reeves, and Scannell, and our lone forward will be...Wyke.

A bonus point or two for creativity, and minus a few zillion for detachment from reality!

Only point 1 I agree with you. The rest are utter bollocks.

    2) Rhodes returning is only due to point 1.
    3) this is bollocks. It's just a way to get people to commit to watch division 2 football if we go down
    4) Both are part of failure at the minute and one of the worst City teams in many a year
    5) The pitch you having a laugh? Doesn't matter what the pitch looks like with Hopkin hoof ball.

Just back from a splendid week in ‘Tin a Beef’ so feeling all refreshed and positive today, play Doyle and Clarke up top and I think we can edge it 3-2

today is a 6 pointer fail to win we can kiss the season goodbye we will be relagated
    I don't believe in miracles
All the good work done by Rhodes,Lawn & parky undone in under 3 seasons
this time it will be a long way back unless there is a rich madman who wants to throw his money at bcfc
been through it all before and no doubt will again
only we the supporters will keep this club alive by fundraising and buying season tickets and turning up each week
this is OUR CLUB OUR CITY lets get behind the boys and cheer them on to a BIG WIN
