    Team Photo Help Required.


    Hi everybody. It’s a bit of a long shot this, but I’m hoping that one of you can help. What l’m after is a team photo from the 1982/83 season, where you had a white shirt with maroon shorts, and were sponsored by Norman’s Toy City. It has Phil Cavener (a loanee from Burnley) and Mark Ellis with their hands on each other’s knees, and your club legend Ces Podd on the back row. It was taken in front of the open terracing that you used to have, and was probably taken in early ‘83.

    I’ve seen the pic before, but I can’t find it on the net anywhere. Phil’s a mate of mine, and I want to take the mickey.

    ...no, though that’s the right season and strip, I think that there must’ve been a team photo taken later on in the season. I think it got published in Shoot! Magazine, and the pair of them got a right rollocking off Trevor Cherry.

    Remember it well because of the linked arms think it was Match magazine, probably still got it somewhere in amongst all my old City stuff from way back though not too hopeful i'll find it ,hope someone comes up with the goods for you

    Think I remember him being clothlined on the half way line against Gillingham if memory serves me right referee never gave owt for it .Joe Hinnigan I believe it was
