    So, what are we all thinking?

    Their form has taken a bit of a nose dive recently having only won 2 of their last 11 games and conceding goals for fun, where as our recent form is exceptional.

    So a 0-1 loss it will be then... :p:p

    At the minute I can't see us not scoring. After the year we've had I don't want to be too cocky, but I think this will be a 3-1 victory to us and we will finally put to bed the Accrington hoodoo they seem to have over us.

    2-0 city, their form has been very poor of late. Hopkin will have us up for this with the chance to bring additional teams into the relegation battle.

    I’ve also stuck £20 on us to finish in the top half at 10/1 so need a win

    Interesting quote from Hopkin. Does that mean the likes of Jones, Reeves and Riley are now fit, given we know Scannell and Mellor are still injured?

    Accrington have been a bogey side for us for decades.No idea why,it doesn't make sense.

    Many years ago when they were voted out of the old 4th division after finishing rock bottom (again) and adrift,they only won one game away from home that season and I don't need to say where.

    More to do with the timing of your bet. The odds on sky bet will now also be 10/1 since the rochdale result.

    They weren't voted out, they were liquidated before the season ended. As a result their one away win in the 1961-62 season was expunged from the record books and counts as much as our 1-0 away win at Plymouth in the 1977-78 season.

    That said, you are right, Accrington Stanley are somewhat a bogey side for us.

    One interesting piece of trivia: Accrington Stanley's last home 'match', at Peel Park, in that 1961-62 season, was against Rochdale on 24 February 1962 but, due to their financial situation they could not afford to produce a programme; the last programme the 'old' Accrington Stanley ever produced was for their 'match' against us on 3 February 1962.
