Think he is implying the @vinginger and @Secret bantam 04@Secret bantam 04 are posters from Cow’s Arse posting to annoy people.

To be honest not sure it matters if they post elsewhere as long as they stick to the rules of whichever forum they are posting.

    Ah, ok.

As far as I'm aware though Van Ginger has been about a while and was also a member on C&B.

It will improve. It already has and he's not even fully out of the door.

We could put Churchill the nodding dog in charge of the reigns of Bradford City and it would be better run than under the shitshow of Edin Rahic.

There was always going to be a drop in sales given the dissapointing end to last season. 19k was a historic high on the back of a promotion challenge and some good marketing during R&Rs first season. Of the 3000, how many were casual fans losing interest and how many were purposfully boycotting the club is open for debate

I've been a season ticket holder for 30+ years and, have been staying away in protest at toxic Rahic.
Looking likely to have made a difference.

If the new hierarchy is headed by Rhodes. We'll know that he'll let the manager manage and sign the players he wants. There'll be no 'transfer committee', implementation of the 'German model' or interference in football matters from above.

If nothing improves, they'll sack Hopkin at some point and appoint someone else. Like every other football team in the UK does. But at least the supporters can sleep safe in their beds knowing that there's nothing taking place behind the scenes that makes the manager's job immeasurably more difficult and complex than it ordinarily should be.

City will become a 'normal' lower league football club again, but importantly, one that's unencumbered by a megalomaniacal fantasist.

unfortunately, you know as well as i do that ‘normal’ lower league clubs will often have a couple of good years, some mediocre years and years where they flirt with or infact do get relegated.

you also know as well as i do that nothing in football is gauranteed and whilst we may think it’s magically going to get better overnight, the reality is that it will probably take a considerable amount longer. one result doesn’t show a turning of the tides but it needs to be done over a period of 10-15 games to show things are definitely improving on the pitch.

if we manage to stave off relegation this season (which i think we will and have said we will all along) and have another poor season next season, will some fans boycott again because we’re not in the upper echolons of the league table and demonstrate for a further change of ownership?

how long does the new regime get?

this is my concern - that people seem to think that everything is magically going to improve with a click of the fingers, or do people not care about the results or performances as long as mr rahic leaves.

there’s an element of the newer fanbase that will not settle for being a ‘normal’ lower league club.

It will probably take time to recover, it’s easier to dismantle than build etc and nothing is guaranteed but Rahic is just a div and it’s pointless if he’s in charge

Its hard to disagree with any of that but you are falling into the trap that few others have by going down the route of 'Well how do we know it will get any better if Rahic leaves?'
The simple answer to this is? It cannot get any worse. In my 40 odd years of watching City this is the worst calendar year of football i've ever seen and its all down to the strategic planning of one man and his failed dream of running a football club. In any other directorship role in business he would have been sacked without a doubt. By bringing in Rhodes we have at least a chance of sailing the ship away from the icebergs that Rahic had set course for.

Now there is no guarantee that we will survive, as you state nothing is for certain in life, never mind football. But wanting to leave the present incumbent in charge because 'there is no guarantee it will change' is utter foolhardy stupidity at best. At worst its business suicide.

I can’t believe that any supporter would want to carry on with the plan that we have seen over the last two years. Actually the plan is ok, but the implementation was completely wrong. I don’t know how many times I can say this but it cannot be done on the cheap and it is high risk in terms of loss of money.

You have to build a development squad, high quality young players, high quality coaches, specialist training facilities, they also need to be competing with other young footballers. This has to be separately funded, in other words more or less a seperate company. At the same time you have to maintain your first team as a promotion chasing team.

I accept we are a lower league club at the moment what I do not accept is that we have to stay here, we can develop into a really good championship side, we have that potential to build our way towards it. However, it is going to require steady purposeful investment, we may or may not get that kind of investment. Nevertheless we should not just accept what is happening and if we do it is almost inevitable we will be relegated.

    Great news to share guys,

A reliable mate has confirmed Rahic is all but out of the door. They’re just sorting out the formalities, paperwork etc and an announcement will be made as soon as that is all confirmed.

I understand now that @JonButterfield@JonButterfield definitely made the right call with the fly over.

And well done everyone on keeping up the pressure and forcing Rahic out.

    Onwards and upwards now

just to be clear, i'm not falling in to any traps - i've been involved in this game long enough to know that nothing is guaranteed to be the same tomorrow let alone in a few months time and i'm not saying the current incumbent should stay in charge. please tell me where i have said either of those things?

my point is, people are expecting a sudden turn around and suddenly things to be rosey again where the reality is that this will not happen and certainly not as quickly as people are expecting. it's still the same set of players, still the same struggles, we're not going to be going into january splashing millions and buying our way out of trouble, we'll still struggle to attract players due to the same reasons we always have, players won't suddenly become world beaters or miraculously recover from injury and we won't suddenly be paying massive wages to attract players. we still have a budget that we have to work within.

if we aren't in a play-off spot next season or pushing for promotion from which ever league we find ourselves in, will the reaction be the same as now - as previous asked which nobody has yet answered; how long do those 'protesting' at the moment give the next ownership structure before they demanding new owners, new leadership, fly over protests and boycotting of matches?

    I would beg to differ.

Once that bad is air is out of the club good and proper, we will move on very quickly for the better. Saturday was an example of a fresh start, VP felt like home again.

Potential good news. I hope your 'reliable mate' is correct with his information and hasn't just been reading social media for his source material! ;)

Has your mate provided any indication of who might be buying Rahic's shareholding in the German HoldCo? Without that being resolved, even if Rahic exits VP, he can continue to influence events from behind the scenes.

This is lifted from a website.. basically whatever Rupp wants to happen happens!

A minority shareholder is, in short, a shareholder who does not hold full control over a company. A minority shareholder can hold some power, but they do not hold full majority control as they, individually, own less than half of the company. Conversely, a majority shareholder is one who does hold full control over a company by owning the majority of the company’s shares. Because a majority shareholder owns over 50% of the company, this gives them power over the company’s decisions, and limits the power held by the minority shareholders. When a company decision needs to be voted on by shareholders, the majority shareholder will be the one who can essentially make or break the decision as they have the most power and control. A minority shareholder can vote and have their perspectives heard, but their votes are not enough to directly impact a company’s decision.
