I don't forsee Jamie Mackie having much problem against our defence, tbh. I'm predicting a fairly comfortable Oxford victory.

Yeah he's finally fit and it's good to see, works hard for the team and great at holding up the ball, he didn't have a summer so it's good to see a fit Mackie, we're still 1 striker short, we're also signing Jordan Graham from wolves in January, been training with us since the start of the month

Always worth a read before you go to an away match Football Grounds Guide. https://www.footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/league-one/valley-parade-bradford-city.html#apubs-for-away-fans
I would go along with most of the content. Also cross reference with Whatpub https://whatpub.com/search?q=Bradford+%28W.yorkshire%29&lat=53.7943&lng=-1.75069&r=10&t=t&p=1&features=Pub%2COpen%2CRealAle

The only caution I would say about the Bradford Arms, is that if you want cask/real ale then to the best of my knowledge it is a Keg only pub.

Chris O'Sullivan a visiting Bury fan recommends the Bradford Arms on Manningham Lane; 'It is only about two minutes from the ground and was welcoming to away fans'. About a ten minute walk away from the stadium along Manningham Road (going away from the City Centre) is the Cartwright Hotel, which has a sizeable bar. Also about a ten minute walk away (this time towards the City Centre) is the 'Corn Dolly' on Bolton Road, which is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, as is the New Beehive on Westgate. The New Beehive is somewhat of a 'step back in time' still having gas lighting.

Near to Bradford Forster Square Station on North Parade is another pub to feature in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, the Sparrow Bier Bar. This bar offers up to four real ales, plus ciders and continental lagers. Neil Le Milliere a visiting Exeter City fan adds; 'The Sparrow was superb. Although on the small side (it is probably only good for 50 or so supporters), it is still an excellent place to visit with a superb choice of ales and special drinks. Plus the pork pies were to die for!'

Alcohol is not available to away fans in the TL Dallas Stand. If there is a large following and the Club allocate a portion of the Midland Road Stand to visiting supporters, then beer is on sale in that stand.

May your journey up be good and return miserable after a good hiding!;)

Almost every team in League One can be considered Barcelona against our non-league standard collection of footballers.

I think it's more to do with knowing that at this stage Concord Rangers would give us a good game, nevermind Oxford.

As everyone else says, Bradford arms for away fans, manningham lane. 5 minute walk, and parking, if you get there early enough can be on side streets near the ground, I usually park opposite harrisons electrical shop. Tesco on the way to get some snacks, soak up the beer, then back on it when you beat us!

How's the truly magnificent Tony Mac been playing for you? Wonder what reception he gets from us....

We had Graham a few years ago, alot of pace but not a good final product.. Not for us anyway, think he only played a handful of games on a short term loan, but certain players fit certain teams

The Bradford Arms (pop star Zayn's gran used to own it) is a shit hole tho, and the yoof tend to congregate there looking for a dust up. I wouldn't recommend that - unless you are also a Twit.
If you park in Broadway (or Forster Sq), then there's some great "bars" on North Parade - the Sparrow, the Record Cafe being two of them, that are frequented by a more intelligent lot than the Bradford Arms, who will have no problem chatting and probably moaning to away fans. The Sparrow even dish out free pie and peas pre match.
The Corn Dolly, up the hill in the other direction is also a cracking real ale pub (my pre match watering hole of choice when I'm in town) and again, no problems with away fans.
    Enjoy the game.

Regardless of the result Luke, you're guaranteed a laugh on Saturday.

Subject to good weather, we have a plane flying over the ground inviting our owners to leave the club.

Watch out for @Park bantam@Park bantam berating any fans who cheer the flyby :brig:

Give it a cheer as it goes over please.

Zayns grandma and grandad had the Bradford Arms on bowling back lane not Manningham Lane. And as for the youth element they congregate on lumb Lane at the pub below where haigys was.
