    The value of the club, if we get relegated will diminsih. Having looked at the very lengthy and detailed judgement in respect of VBFA (Beleekon) versus Blackpool FC (Oyston’s) then at paragraph 431 (page 152) the Judge considers the following assessment, in generic terms to be worthy of consideration:-

    “...the average value for a Football Club in League 2 would be circa £3.5m and in League 1 (on the basis that the Football Club has a chance of promotion) would be £5m. However, due to the matters referred to above, principally the reserves in the Football Club, I am of the opinion that Blackpool would command a figure of between £5m and £6m. I have, therefore, taken a midway figure of £5.5m as the valuation’.

    So if we were to be relegated, Rahic and Rupp will lose £1.5 million overnight. Interesting that the figure accords to the reported figure they paid for City, I guess that the ownership of the ground may have been a factor, if they actually paid £5 million.

    Not sure a Judge is qualified to value a football club and in this case the very simplistic approach would seem to be akin to him sticking his finger in the air and announcing a figure. Surely a club in the relegation zone with no prospect of saving themselves is valued accordingly and so I think its a bit dramatic to state that they will lose £1.5m overnight. In any case their 'loss' is only realised if they, in fact, sell. If we do get relegated (as seems likely) the most compelling course of action would seem to be holding on and hoping that a way back can be found.

    So if I win tonights Euromillions, I'll be able to afford the club. :p

    £77 million jackpot tonight, I'll put in an offer of £15 million if I win the jackpot, that'll surely give Edin and Stefan enough profit to kindly leave our club. :brig::brig:

    I'll also move to buy the ground itself and I'll invest £30 million into the club budget moving forward. I'll leave Hopkin alone to manage the club as a proper manager, allow him to do what he wants with the coaching staff and players and hire back the staff that Edin has driven out of the club... would probably need to give them a pay rise to get them back. :D

    How we have changed back in 1998 3rd November the club was valued at £17.5 million.
    Geoffrey Richmond stating the club was in a good position on and off the field.
