I'm unfortunately getting to a stage of, I don't care. I'm rapidly loosing interest.
For past many years, I get giddy in the summer over new players/mangers, get excited by what the may be could be. But past years get to Xmas and the yearly desponded feeling hits.
This year its hit very early, the worrying feeling I now have is, I just don't care, that feeling I used to get that this is my team my home, my city, keep supporting through thick & thin , this year I'm at the stage already, sick of it. The broken promise, the lack of desire, the lack of passion, while we peddle out, we go again next match. I've had enough it. Id love to know what the real issue is at the club.
For me the next 5 matches will be a very defining period for our club, for many years to come.

Good start to the sequence of 5 and good performance to boot. So far we seem to play well then badly, then well again. Listening to Adams yesterday he said we were 5 points behind Swindon who started well, and now we're 2. Imagine if we'd stick our chances away previously? If the above sequence continues we could see 9 points on the board. Get a bit of consistency based on the last game and we could easily pick up 12 from 15.
This league is there for the taking and the team that can find that run of form will set themselves up nicely for the new year. Let's hope we've turned another corner and Adams uses the players in the right way. -
Derek Adams has previous form for his team doing poorly in the first half of the season. In 2017-18 Plymouth Argyle were bottom after 20 matches and finished the season 7th.
Hopefully he won't take City down further before he can sort whatever the problem is that he can't divulge to the media.Bronco and JonButterfield like this. -
Well that is 3 (4%) of the Poll, the ‘Ultra’ pessimists totally wrong. Great victory yesterday.
The opposite end of the spectrum will be happy. Amazingly brave (or foolhardy) to think we can win all five, but respect to the Optimists.
Wonder what the odds would have been based on the options at the start of the thread. Not a betting man myself, but still interesting. -
If anyone wants some optimism to cling onto for Saturday, Forest Green play 3 CBs and two of them have been injured in the last week. Dan Sweeney is out for 3 weeks with a knee injury. On Saturday, their best defender of the year so far Jordan Moore-Taylor went off with a pulled quad it seemed like according to their local paper, scanning this week but highly likely he wont be fit for Saturday. Two lads who came in haven't played much this season.
They play a 3412, with the wing backs playing more like wingers from looking at their highlights. Seems the CBs need some pace as they often get pulled out wide, with the 2 sitting mids dropping very deep. Hard to break down side, needs width to pull them out of shape. Two big lads up top too and both on form, both Matt and Stevens have 7 in 14 with Matt also adding 6 assists.XCIV_Bantam and TallinnBantam like this. -

I agree with you that the next 5 matches will be important for the outcome of this season.
The bottom clubs are averaging around a point a game, lose all the next five or even three and draw the other two and we will be in the bottom six.vladimir likes this. -

I've not stopped caring but I don't let them annoy me like I did in past times. I was gonna go to Swindon but instead I'm going racing.
My disposable pound is being spent on other products that I enjoy. I'm already making plans for later in the season, both on a football and racing front, that will not have Bradford City as part of it, including when we play at both home and away.Bantam1969 likes this. -

3 points against Northampton and a point at Tranny, cannot see us getting a single point in the next 3 games

The next 5 games will be like the pattern of the season to date. Good performance /indifferent performance.
Optimism costs nothing!
How that will equate to in points? I'm going 6-9, just because I don't know!!
But one thing the table dose not lie on is our poor ish away form, with overall, poor performances. The latter needs to improve...

And just for reference, our opponents 'home' form.

Will the City team turn up for any of these 5 games?
We hear about taking our chances etc. Chances aren’t points on the board. At this moment we are shopping in soft goals and a manager who can’t see the obvious, change them-formation.
When Canavan is in the team we look more solid in defence. The Bristol game was crying out for him to come on when Watt was injured, push Osonge in midfield and strengthen the back four. Was that choice too simple?
We constantly talk about chance, how many chances does Adam’s have?
1 win in 9 games doesn’t read well 5 more tough games to come.
