Yes, we needed 4 or 5 quality additions and we signed 10+, with the vast majority not good enough.
We knew Oliver was out for a considerable time, but failed to sign a back up to Cook. Also, surprising with such a big squad that no reserve keeper to push Lewis.

Isn't that down to the manager and his backroom team, surely we cant put it down to either Rupp or Sparks.

I hadn't appreciated how many of Hughes' squad had arrived at VP via Boro. That can't be a coincidence given Gent's own background. It puts a big question mark over what Sparks said about how the Hughes-Gent relationship was supposed to work. He said that Hughes would always have the final word on recruitment to the first team squad. Somebody was asleep at the wheel!

I thought it was always said that Gent was the searcher, recruiter, wheeler dealer, for Hughes’s player specification. Hughes’s job was to make em fit.On that basis they are both culpable. I said it the day after MH got the boot.

I thought we had a supposed countrywide network of scouts and comnections? I definitely read a quote about that. So how come most of our squad are coming from one club, that coincidentally our head of recruitment used to work for? The club is lazy from the top down.

The company i now own and was employed by for almost 20 years, before taking over, was very poorly run. lurching from one problem to another. The workshop was a proper dump ,it never stopped me and the other lads from doing our job. Professional pride and all that. There was a good business , that i knew i could improve. I am sure city are the same.

Last January Kemp's agent approached City as MK wanted him out on loan. Too small apparently.

Around 1988 Kammy was playing for Swindon, at the full-time twatted Shrewsbury striker Jim Melrose, breaking his jaw. Kammy got fined £1200 for it, never played for Swindon again..

I think It was alledged that racist comments were made at Kammy, but I think this was retracted in court. The full story is in Kammy's book, also using google you'll find various versions.

Professionalism counts for everything and those that are tend to succeed in life. I certainly did in work. Some of our players are L2 (and always will be) because of this. I don't get the fact that a professional footballer can't put 100% effort on the pitch every time. It's a vocational career they should be proud to play and get paid for it.

Sparks didn’t say Cowley had accepted the job and then turned it down, it was Ian Dennis who claimed that.

Made himself look like a prat to any future employers, by accepting and then giving back word and is now back peddling more likely in my eyes. Other than Lincoln , he did nothing at the bigger clubs Huddersfield and Portsmouth, Maybe there was something going on behind the scene's at the later two.

Why?. Its not Sparks fault that Cowley applied then did a u-turn because he doesn't want to move up north. Its Cowley that comes across as an imbecile wasting our time

It won't matter who gets the job. Until we have a new engaged owner, capable CEO and a strategy for the future we aren't going anywhere. Thats where I'm at with Bradfotd City nowadays. Wish it was different.
