Do you think that’s Sparks style though? I can’t see him taking a gamble on a young up and coming manager when he knows his own job/reputation is already on the line. We saw that as soon as MH applied, all other CV’s were put in the bin. He wants someone who can put us in the media and writes a good presser regarding past pedigree.

 

Garry monk, cowleys or steve cotterill earky dokrs though there is suggestion looking into non league.

 

If we were looking at managers at that level Jon Greening and Scarborough is doing a great job

 

Cowleys seem a busted flush to me.

 

Managers like this are great but do you think our fans would accept it when we've seen so many times once we go past 3 passes in defense there's the restlessness and "get it forward". The goal Gateshead scored recently where every player touched the ball if we tried that then the boos would start within a few passes

 

I don’t know what Sparks’ style of manager is, he’s just fallen into all the appointments baring Adams. Trueman and Sellars because they fluked a win streak scoring worldie after worldie and scraping wins by 1 goal. Hughes was literally found in the spam inbox and he wouldn’t have been in his thoughts in a million years. So who really knows what type of manager we’ll get? We could have someone from the Icelandic league sending his CV into Sparks’ spam as we speak.

 

I mentioned a few days ago that Rupp and Sparks had to be planning for Hughes to go if things didn't improve. Let's hope they've done so.

 

Let's be honest, if that clip hadn't gone viral, nobody would be talking about Williamson as a possible replacement because nobody would have heard of him. It's laughable really that he's suddenly being put forward by some as the man to take us forward.

All on a tiny budget. Average gates of 1200.

Cowley - I could see that happening

Non league pool - cannot see us paying compensation for an unknown

I'm not saying his achievements are laughable, I'm saying people suddenly hailing him as the answer to all our problems after seeing one video clip is, because I don't believe the majority of those people knew anything about him before seeing that clip.

 

Certainly in my case.

 

Gawd knows who is next, it surprises me sometimes so many want to throw their hats in. You could argue Hughes record doesn’t look that bad with stats. (Dives into bunker and puts tin hat on at this point). Play-offs last year, 6 points off play-offs this season, pretty high win percentage compared to other City managers, only one home defeat since February. It just simply hasn’t felt like that and I know many scrappy and last ditch draws. Creation of chances this season has been feeble, some of decisions on face of it seemed very strange, and it certainly felt we needed a change. Can’t go on Saturday but will be fascinating to see how players react, how many starting XI changes and system employed.

 

I could see a move for Karl Robinson, that is if he's desperate enough to come to this basket case of a club.

Tbf we’d have heard much more of him had he been doing this just one division up the the EFL. Ultimately even if we hire a manager we know more about it’s unlikely anyone of us or Sparks has watched much of them other than the odd game against City. Whoever Sparks wants he certainly won’t have seen the last 35 games of there’s so he’ll have to do online research to get a better idea. A few fans wanted a certain Ian Evatt on here without seeing anything of his Barrow team and going on clips and stats, he’s not done too bad of a job in the league. The national league is only one division down and as clubs price every year, it’s not the most difficult of step ups in football. Time for a change in approach, if people learn of candidates through online clips so be it.
