Not really. Why shouldn't we have won?

We played within ourselves to achieve a point. With better tactics we could have won.

 

A draw a fair result. Not a game I'll remember for anything with goal mouth action lacking. Set pieces from both sides and crossing generally woeful. But a good point nevertheless.

 

Defensively we are looking tight, apart from the Morecambe game.
The balance between defending and attacking needs addressing.
Pointon needs to start imo as he provides the energy.
Chapman returning is vital.
Best ball carrier in the squad.

 

And a clean sheet, not a classic but draw away win at home gets you promoted, commentators saying best opposition team so far giving Mansfield a game.

I wasn't talking about the situation as a whole. I was responding to comments saying that our play in this game was negative. It wasn't.

I agree that the recruitment has been poor. We are lightweight up front and too reliant on Cook firing. We he isn't, or is injured, we look toothless especially without Pattison available.

Are you seriously comparing us to Man City? Of course they expect to win every game but they are the exception. Most teams, in all divisions, don't. A point away at a strongly tipped team who had a previous 100% home record is a decent point.

Neither team really deserved the 3 points as both were happy to pass back most of the time. A decent midfielder for either side would have seen them the winners.

 

Are we planning on drawing every game? We never look like scoring over the whole game. The same as many games this season… no chance we finish above 10th

 

Without the Crawley and Morecambe shitshows today's point would have been a decent one, still not creating anywhere near enough chances..mid table mediocrity beckons..

With our traveling hoards of 1700 almost a sell out they said, they all come out of the woodwork to watch a BIG CLUB like Bradford City.

 

Would have taken a point before kick off, especially after that lineup was announced. Wasn't a classic, neither side deserved the win.

Defensively tighter but we can't play through the transitions. We struggle to move the ball convincingly and as such we are the joint lowest scores in the league.

As @CamBantam says they have won their two previous home games, cheer up.

 

Of course I understand the difference. Sure, the attacking performance wasn't the greatest, although we did play some nice stuff at times, but it was pretty solid defensively.
Draw away, win at home is the way most teams achieve promotion. It's our home performances we need to be more critical of, not gaining battling away points.
