He didn't score but Swindon took 3 points from FGR even though FGR played the last 30 minutes with 10 men, I don't think FGR will be an easy place to go to this season.

How do you come to that conclusion we sat back, we had two great chances in the second half from attacking football.

 

Thing is, we're always going to be tested by a side like Stockport in an away game.

They're going to make us look average in certain areas of the pitch.

But when they actually do it, and make our centre backs look slow, it's a crisis?

We're conceding a goal a game, pretty much the same as last season, but we've supposedly ripped our defence apart and wrecked it?

I'm just not seeing what other people are seeing. OTT is the correct term.

I don't think that his tactics are to sit back. We've had this same moan about every manager, ever since we got relegated. Even Wellens was defending himself from similar accusations from Orient fans.

It's L2 and virtually every game ebbs and flows. The idea that you can control a game from start to finish every match, is bunkum. And I've never seen it a this level - note I've been watching since 1979.

 

He was dropped last year and came back a different player. Can’t drop him at the moment because there is no one to replace him.

We absolutely didn't sit back, it's just a cliché.

Stockport play at a faster pace, and I think that's confusing people.

 

Why is Hughes the only one who thinks we have the players to make a 3 at the back work.

We had a solid back 4 last season and he has torn it up.

Our need was for more attacking intent from midfield which we have secured with Pattison.

If Hughes is going to continue with this formation I would seriously consider playing Timi instead of Kelly, as many have said the number of times our back three get caught out is worrying, and not just tonight.

 

Kelly and Odusena look conference players at best. How kelly has become a regular I don't know.

 

Evans doesn't play an attacking or high tempo brand of football either. But, he makes teams work their bollocks off to get a win against him. His teams are usually a bit more streetwise and tougher to break down. Our mentality just isn't there. When we go 1 up I don't get too happy because this team always looks ropey with a lead, same last season.

 

But there's absolutely no difference in the defensive performance statistically.

Hughes is stubborn and can't be questioned as he can't take criticism. He will persist with this back 3 regardless.
