    Hawkwind50- the 50 year celebration live stuff

    I was there in '68-69'.

    The first album still takes some beating.

    I remember waiting for In Search of Space being released.

    Excellent, I had just made my way into the world when In Search of Space was released.

    I want to get the Days of the Underground box set, I love that era of Hawkwind.

    I was at Blackbushe too. Great lineup, including Clapton, Joan Armatrading and Graham Parker & the Rumour.

    Couple of weeks back I saw Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash at the Greystones in Sheffield. They were bloody fantastic. Played everything from their classic Live Dates album plus a few others besides.

    Anyone who loves classic 70s guitar rock should catch this band. I saw the Mk1 & Mk2 Ash lineups back in the day and IMHO Martin's band are playing their stuff as well as, if not better than, the classic lineups.

    Wishbone Ash were one of my great musical loves as a teenager and I still regularly listen to their early albums, particularly the eponymous debut, Pilgrimage, Argus and There's the Rub.

    I camped overnight with my brother. We got a spot quite close to the stage, which was just as well because there were no big screens.
    It wasn't Steel Pulse though. It was a reggae band called Lake.
