Win at Crewe and it's game on for third place between Stockport, Northampton and Bradford City what a finish to the season.

Meh it’s done Mansfield are overrated by some on here, 4 gd better and we’ll be winning Crewe anyway that’s a big confidence boost.

 

The tactics are almost fine. But let's not pretend that this isn't Hughes squad. The starting 11 had 8 if Hughes signing and all the subs were his. And of the 3 starters already here, one is the league's highest scorer. This is his team.

What a game. Northampton could have scored 3 or 4 in 2nd half. Sitting watching game at home with my kid and couldn't believe it when 2nd goal went in. Brilliant.

 

Automatic is not impossible. Very very unlikely - but so was the Bristol Rovers miracle.

First we have to beat Crewe.

Then better Stockport and Northampton's result - not as mad as it sounds, Hartlepool and Tranmere are not simply going to roll over.

I ain't putting any money on us though!!!

We're not getting top 3. We haven't quite been a top 3 side all season. Not a million miles away, but still short.

 

We got pummelled in the second half, only one winner, then out of nowhere we come up with a last minute winner. I don’t care if they were the best team. How many times has that happened to us this season.

 

It's also his team that's has two of his key signings missing around 75% of the matches between them. Of course injuries occur, but I think most of us can see that a pre-season fit Walker and Osadebe that surely would have gained us two or three points extra.

I think the tactics have been fine in the second half of the season. It's that terrible brain fade three on the trot defeat run, that will probably have cost us.

 

Well it looks like the least we are getting with regards this season is a play off place, surely even we cant screw that up.

Football is the most unique sport in the world. No other sport could see you battered like that and yet come away with a win. It's why it's always important to play to the end and for once something goes in our favour. Cook and Lewis again seeing us home with goals and saves. Effectively gives us a free hit against Crewe. If we win at Crewe Valley Parade should be a full house against Orient.

There is no certainty in your statement as mathematically it is possible. It is entirely feasible that we win our last two matches and Stockport / Northampton don't win their final match.

Very low feasibility - but we can't say, yet, that "we're not getting top 3". Christ!! Imagine if the players had that attitude.
