The club needs to ditch the NW corner singing section (which was about 50 strong this evening) and let them back into the upper kop as that has massively affected the overall atmosphere at home games IMHO.

It was a great feeling to exit the Midland Rd stand tonight and hear total silence from the away fans.
I am sick of listening to them celebrating week after week after a heroic draw or a win against us.
    Silence is golden

I don’t have a problem with keeping possession but that’s just it we aren’t we are losing it in very dangerous position.
I hate this turning good attacking positions ending up back in our keepers hands. If that was good football tonight let’s get back to crap. We won and the results are coming but there are still big doubts about our tactics

I don’t think I’ve ever booed. Same way I’ve never left early. It’s this generation Z, who want instant satisfaction until they swipe right. Some of the matches we had to sit through twenty odd years ago, if they had to watch them, they’d be in tears reaching for their adhd pills!

Apart from the period in the second half where we got sloppy, last night was a good performance from the whole team. We have to accept that we cannot dominate teams for 90 minutes so there will be times in the game where we need to slow the game down and take a breather, it’s called game management. We do need to possibly improve that part of our game.
2 wins on the bounce don’t change anything but I was impressed with the balance of the team last night and we worked as a unit, we just need to continue with the work rate in the final 1/3rd of the season.

First let me submit our sick note to @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam yet another bug.

Watched it on ifollow. I thought we played well for long periods of the game. Yes we made mistakes especially when we were chasing the 2nd goal. It was similar to the Mansfield game we were caught between chasing and sticking with one goal. At this level it is very difficult to do both hence the wayward passing. I would like to see more controlled passing further up the field at times we just invited them on, but I think that will come with the confidence of winning.

I think Clayton is just what we needed he controls the ball and the play. I think as he settles further into the team we will control games much better. Derbyshire is showing his class in the last two games, very sorry to see him injured, he moves defences around and shoots without nerves he has the strikers killer instinct. Out for a couple of weeks MH says, fingers crossed.

For the 1st time this season I had a proper look at the table and by some miracle we are still in the mix for not only the playoffs but the auto’s. We have 3 games in hand of the O’s if we win all three we will be on the same points. We haven’t had a run this season, we might be just starting. If we beat Barrow on Saturday we are most definitely in the mix.

Much has been said about the atmosphere and the fans lack of patience, however it is understandable, it has been a weakness of the team that we have been unable to hang onto a lead. Frustration sets in, but booing the team or player might relieve the frustration but it will not improve the performance in my view.

I can’t say I am a fan of possession football at this level, but if we have possession then they can’t. This is MH plan and like it or not it is his decision that is why we have managers. Fans can’t dictate tactics.

All being well will be at VP on Saturday.

Some people think iFollow availability has no effect on attendances. They’re very wrong.
I hope to god they never allow it for Saturday games or the atmosphere will be flat all the time.
7000 fans in a 25000 seat stadium is never gonna produce an electric atmosphere, just ask MK Dons fans.

I can understand anxiety given our record of protecting narrow leads at home, but the booing of players retaining possession is embarrassing.

Doubt it bothers an experienced player like Clayton, but the booing will make some of the players more anxious.

Shocking atmosphere last night in the week our old friend Steve Evans said we have the best fans outside the Premiership.

I’ve been twice with City , know what it’s like.
It’s a country mile better being in City away support that’s natural, but the atmosphere at VP has deteriorated over the last three or four seasons. It’s not sudden , rather a gradual process. After being fed a daily procession of PL football , populated by the worlds best players, I get the distinct impression the “ newer” fans think that all teams throughout the game “ have” to play in the same way, thats their benchmark ? Delusion, naïveté, who knows?

I just don’t know, but compared to some home support in L2, we are poor, we have to face it.

A forged sicknote is not valid but I’ll accept you are poorly if you think 9 points takes us level with Orient.
Have another look at the table.

It's because we've been horrendous at home for the last 5 years, including this season even though we're not doing too bad overall.

Not sure how many new Premier League fans you think we've got in the last 3/4 years who could be to blame for drowning out all the die hards still making noise despite the performances with their silence. And again, as I said above, at least near me the majority of the bitchers and moaners are at the older end - especially when we're trying to keep possession rather than just lumping it aimlessly forward
