    I came here to say that.

    The parallels are frightening.

    Far too slow at the back, second best in terms of the press and pressure on the ball, sporadic flashes of creativity...

    Laboured first half.

    Perhaps England fans will be moaning in the stands that they need to switch to 4-4-2 and appoint Steve Evans?

    England definitely played not to lose. As others have said, just like watching City at home.

    Main thing is barring a thrashing by Wales by 4 goals we are through to next stage

    Mount is CC level so garbage in that set up
    Sterling anonymous
    Kane anonymous because of 1,2 and 3 above

    Why no Foden after 60 mins is beyond comprehension

    There is a real potential that Iran will beat the USA and we have another BORE DRAW against Wales.
    We will go through, but as second in the group.
    Won’t leave much time after the Orient game, to find a pub to watch the match (if we must).
    We can no longer play to just avoid a defeat.
    England loses far more games than it wins if we go to penalties.
    About as fascinating as watching this in real time.

    After last night I would suggest it would be ‘uncomfortably’. We will go into the next stage, but the performance last night and ones leading up to the World Cup, don’t really instil a sense of confidence or indeed excitement.
