Whats happened to Osudina? Surely he cant be as uncomfortable as Yann on the ball?

He wouldn’t win a header if he was playing against Nick Kitchen…Our problem is, he would be targeted by opposition managers as our weak link in the air just as his old manager at Stockport did.

I honestly believe Hughes had his plans ripped up with the loss of Osadebe and Walker. Maybe he’s trying to limp to the January window (to bring in a central midfielder), playing the same formation so they can slot into a settled team. Whatever reason though, we seem to have players playing in key positions who dont see a pass and take an absolute age to make a decision. We could help by adding a third midfielder but it’s obvious Hughes isn’t going to change so we’ll have to hope it comes together.

Osedebe played on the right that day didn't he? East was Smallwoods partner in the middle as far as I remember?

Yes agree. I wonder if it’s a confidence thing with him. Rember in the limited games he started he did well to begin with then last couple he played he had shockers at times?

He’s spending a long, long time “ growing” into a midfielder. He’s 25, played 80 pro games and scored 2 or 1 depending on which stats one reads. So let’s not reply with a “ whataboutism “ , is that good enough data to suggest he stopped growing a while ago?

Your stats are wrong Kev. I remember him scoring at least 3 for City alone.

You say Song'o is a midfielder not a defender, so in that respect I would expect him to be more comfortable with the ball at his feet

I remember all the excitement about Odusina, that seems to have totally evaporated.

Maybe it wasn't the best idea to sign centre backs from Barrow and Hartlepool.

Platt has been very good in the main, trouble is he’s not the most mobile so needs Critchow next to him. He and Songo’o was never a good idea although I guess it couldn’t be helped.

It reminded me of when the O’Connors used to play together, neither complemented each other at all and it was a disaster.

Of course, but let’s be honest his pace has gone, his legs are extremely stiff if you watch him jog. He wouldn’t hack it in midfield anymore other than directly in front of the back 2 . It’s a shame because I enjoy his never say die attitude . He’s not a Vince who we all know well, if that’s a reasonable comparison?

Platt had a good start, but has tailed off for me, to be honest.

It's a shame we weren't able to stick with Crichlow and Songo'o, who kept the clean sheet at Sutton.

But yeah, we're missing Crichlow badly - much worse than I ever imagined.

Platt and Songo'o are probably interchangeable and make a poor pairing, I just feel Songo'o is on better form. Could have been a cricket score against Northampton, but Songo'o did a decent job as the last man.

Wiki where it came from , I’ll see what else I can see. They are all different. I found one with 4 goals in his FL entire career. One with 2 , and one with 3 . All probably unreliable. I remain convinced he’s not the solution to our problem , seemingly neither does MH . I can’t imagine being tried at Right back any longer because Halliday has turned out to be a decent fullback. I recall one goal he scored in a league game away ( Swindon perhaps ?) but nothing else in the league since

He's definitely not the solution but for me wouldn't be any worse than Gillead right now
