You can't link what Harratt has done in any way with child abuse, i think thats why you got the replies you did. He's been a daft lad and its clear he ain't the sharpest tool in the box. But it was clear a while back he understood that getting rid of the distraction of what he was doing with his dogs would be beneficial to his football as he tried selling them. For whatever reason that didn't happen, couple that with his lack of game time and its now time for his and his parent club to sit the lad down and ask him what he really wants. He knows now if he carries on with this that clubs will look elsewhere, that should be enough of a wakeup call.

 

A point which doesn't seem to have been made is it seems as if the club weren't even aware he was due in court... that's got to be the be all and end all of whether we should keep him surely, without having to consider what it is he's done? If he'd fronted up, promised to change his ways and knuckled down since there is the question to be had over second chances but none of that has happened so off you pop

i read it as they didn’t know when they signed him. As I said he must have said something to be excused training, unless he just didn’t show up

 

Perhaps he didn't attend court. He might have just put in a guilty plea and taken the fine. It would only have been a magistrates court surely ?

Maximum two weeks wages and be lucky to pushing much over £500 a week

 

Correct decision by Town. Dealt with it professionally and the lad will know this is his very last chance to draw a line under the whole debacle, make amends and kick on

 

And don't send him out on loan. Keep him in their U21's as a further lesson

Well it's down to him isn't it. This ought to be a massive wake up call and will probably be his last chance as a professional footballer. He might not make it anyway, although I still think there is a player in there. Even though I had high hope for him I'm now glad he's not our player / problem.
