In the T & A today that we’ve no intention of looking at his contract yet, be interested to get everyone’s thoughts on this.

I’m split personally, I’m not a big fan of giving out contracts on the back of a hot streak but at the same time it is some hot streak and is hard to ignore.

 

I think the turn of the year is the time or start negotiations in December for a new deal to be signed at the turn of the year.
There’s a risk he could sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in Jan so there’s probably a risk of a SPL club coming in for him

 

Someone sent me this last night. If true, he's in some pretty good company there.

 

According to the BBC he's at 63 minutes with a shot accuracy of 88%

 

I think he deserves another couple of years. If we go up and he’s deemed surplus to requirements there will be no shortage of takers in L2

 

The thing is with Cook for a lot of last year he was pretty poor now because we brought in what he thought was his replacement he shed a couple of stone and knuckled down another deal now and his motivation may dwindle and we will have the old Cook back

 

Even better then.

A fair few of his goals are just one touch as he sweeps it in to the net without, as previous so called scorers, would try and bring the ball under control in the area before attempting to shoot ..

 

Wiki suggests he’s got around 29 goals in 59 starts here. You don’t get much better than that here.

171 goals in 317 (121) league games. Quite unusually high number of sub apps for such a regular scorer

 

That's a confidence thing.

He has the confidence of knowing he puts a good few of the first timers away.

Nothing better than confidence in a striker.

 

I'm pretty sure he reported back for training in good shape well ahead of Oliver signing up.

 

To be fair Park, he scored eight on loan in 20 games. He’s scoring now. What killed him was getting injured last year and coming back in poor shape after the absence around Christmas. He’s generally been a decent addition for us IMO

 

And Mr Cook may be learning from a superb forward/player this country has had pleasure to watch?

 

2 goals in 7 appearances. He's going to have to up his output if you're to win the bet @JonButterfield

 

He'll be firing on all cylinders soon enough now WAGMI are scouting YouTubers to sign up.

Cook did not start too bad last year, but got an injury November time ish, he needed a hernia op, so had it done whilst injured. Unfortunately, this ran over the Christmas period and when he came back my you could tell he had eaten too many mince pies. All credit to the guy, he has risen to the challenge and come back leaner and firing on all cylinders.

 

Nothing to do with the way Derek Adams set the team up, and still finished up our leading goal scorer.
