Oh come on. Surely you can't be suggesting that fans don't appeal and barrack the ref for decisions that neutrals wouldn't see as a city decision. The refs get dogs abuse from every single fan of every club every time there's the slightest debate over a decision. It's like the most basic and obvious aspect of watching football.

I guarantee that any neutral forum would give you the same views I've already sent a link to. Surely you must read something into that.

That's because many fans think the game is going soft, and a good chunk haven't got a Scooby. Under new rules sending off no matter how much old school fans like the tackle. And if players don't expect tackles like that to be made as per the rules they don't adjust their bodies to ride the tackle like they would have done in the past

I think that just looks like a dog akward tackle, he stretches, but it's not the two footed lunge I heard about earlier?

Fully agree. I like Sutton but expected much more. But I wasn't impressed with Halliday either. Maybe the both are not fit, but I didn't see anything in Halliday to suggest he's a big upgrade on Hendrie

I think moving Walker out of his preferred position and bringing Sutton on was the biggest mistake of the day.
Leave Walker where he is and get Young / Harratt / Chapman on and get at them.
Felt it was a too cautious change, a safe change which is how I thought we approached the game today.

Its the two feet he follows through with that cause the damage.

You're right. If you want to show someone what a two footed tackle looks like then this is not an example.

Thank you. You could have stated that an hour ago!
The fact he got the ball is irrelevant in the current rules.

He's an young player 19. He's being brought up with these new tackling rules. He's young and got caught up in the emotion of a big crowd and wanted to quieten the crowd.

When sliding in to win the ball players almost always lead with the sole of their foot. It's the largest surface area and it's naturally what you lead with when stretching for the ball. If he'd made contact directly into Osadebes ankle with his studs then it's a textbook red but he doesn't, his leading leg takes the ball and his momentum carries through to cause the injury.

Did you read this one "No.

Bradford player looked to be playacting more than anything.

He knows exactly what he's doing going to ground like that but its only really a yellow for being reckless.

How do you play act a double fracture, and only a yellow for a reckless tackle thick as p1g sh1t them Mackems if that's the sort of comments you use to back your argument up.

You can't follow through with two feet. I was being facetious.

There's pictures of a two footed follow through. Use your eyes.

IMO he showed a yellow to try and take the heat out of the situation, and in doing so made the wrong call.

General consensus mate. Of course there's going to be a couple of divvies. Find me a more reliable source of neutral knowledge if you like. They'll still say it wasn't a red. If their site had said it was a definite red you'd be taking it as gospel and laughing in my face.

Agreed. I thought Chapman was going to come on, was suprised it was Sutton. Maybe Hughes was trying to steady the ship a bit in case emotions were getting the better of people early doors.

I've seen far worse tackles where the player ends up with no injury at all.

If at first you don't succeed then completely make up what the other person has said.
