Biggest deals are renewals of extremely loyal sponsors, nothing to do with our commercial

Why is Stefan Rupp rebranding us anyway? The guy is a disaster.

Why is Ryan Sparks leaving us with that 'legacy'? Feels like it's all a game to him, a tick box exercise, something to put on his CV.

Not interested in the slightest - not hard against it, but just not interested, especially given the calibre of the pair currently considering that rebrand.

I might appreciate they have done a good job commercially, but this is not what's important right now.

What's important is the club is in the toilet bowl, and if we finish lower than 18th it will be the lowest finish the club have had since 1966.

    What are we celebrating/cementing here?

No issue with us updating the club crest, mascot or nickname if the price is right.

Looks like we are moving from Avec to Macron so a new badge on all the kit and training wear etc should see an increase in merch sales.

Never keen on the Bantams nickname. Paraders or Citizens works better as the official name for me.

Nobody stupid enough to change our colours.

I don't really give a monkeys about nicknames, badges, logos, kit sponsors or designs.

We've won 4 home games all season. Maybe start by thinking about what that means for the 'brand'.

Our 'brand' is all about keeping it cheap and embracing mediocrity. No amount of rolling a turd in glitter will change that.

I've seen what our commercial masterminds presented to a major sponsor and it was not impressive. I wouldn't trust them to change my bedding never mind a rebrand.

I've seen some of the materials we use to pitch new sponsors and commercial partners too. Frankly, it was embarrassingly poor. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to state that it looked akin to something a GCSE student might have done for a school project.

I've seen the 'materials' we use on the pitch every fortnight. Frankly, that is embarrassingly poor... At least consistency reigns through the club...

Have we just launched the only campaign we have without any promotional material - we could do with a campaign director

It needsto evolve so it can be used anyhow and anywhere. And what part of our identity will we lose exactly???

@Faithful Bantam@Faithful Bantam is spot on. As someone who has worked in marketing and was part of a rebrand of a major multi-million pound business which had a poor brand image in the market place, I can fully appreciate the benefits it can deliver. That company looked at everything it did that made up it's (poor) brand image. It changed a lot of things in how it operated as a result. As well as it's logo etc. The result was a much improved business with happy customers.
A re-brand isn't just about logo's names or colours. It's about what you do and how you do it.
I'd suggest the nay-sayers go along to one of the feedback sessions the club is running to understand more about what the club is looking to achieve before dismissing it out of hand. It's also an opportunity to put your thoughts across. If you think it's a waste of time after you've listened to them then fair enough but try going with an open mind.

I think the word 'rebranding' gives folk the image first and foremost of a new logo when clearly there is more to it. How important it is to us as what is in turnover terms a very small business remains to be seen. We have a new demographic in Bradford that changes more every generation than probably any other city. It's how we target that new demographic as a business to ensure there is a customer base for the future. Under Sparks at least we've started to try and operate like a proper business which is encouraging.

Not just fans but also businesses. Sponsors want to identify with brands they think will enhance their brand.

For example….just imagine for one second, the coverage Morrisons would get if City were to become their national mobile advertising vehicle if we became a very successful football club?

Hard to say it , but Tordoff’s shirt sponsorship deal could potentially be hugely overshadowed by the huge corporate might of Morrisons for example.
