Well done to the players and coaching staff, they’ve won a hell of a lot recently and score a lot as well. With the season not having much in terms of things to play for I wonder if there’s any attacking talent that we could give some minutes too? Every player that gets a pro contract always seems to be defensive minded last 5-6 years, it’d be good to see a decent attacker come through and coached with being the first choice striker at the club within the next 2-3 years.

Their season is by no means over. The format of the youth league means there is a final 5 game play off league before the league winners are decided, weird though that is. So they have not already won the title and there is plenty still to play for.
I agree it would be nice for one or more of them to get some experience with the senior squad if possible.

I meant the senior teams season is over in terms of having nothing to play for, as nice as it is for the young lads if it’s a choice between giving someone with genuine talent some real first team experience or letting them win a youth league then I say get him in the first team picture now while the pressure is off they’ll develop and learn far more.

Sorry Allotment but it’s four games , Grimsby, Lincoln, Rotherham and Doncaster, two games at home and two away. The final regular league game against Mansfield is this Friday at Horsfall playing fields.
Bradford hold a Five points lead going into the last game over Grimsby who play there last game on Saturday at home to Huddersfield Town.

Crazy, you are Champions, oh no your not. Why have a league , just have a knock out trophy and do away with the middle man. Stupid format unless promotion for runners up is the end product.

Its madness that a team that actually finises in fifth place, has the chance to be declared champions.
They could be 10 or 20 points behind our boys, who have been on a fantastic unbeaten run.
Just give them the bloody title. I always find the playoffs a farce , that someone who finishes seventh in our league can get promoted , a day at Wembley and a trophy, but if you finish second and third , you just get the promotion.
I know its a money spinner for the EFL and we have benifitted from it. I just find it really unfair .

Apologies, I was one game out. I still think it is ludicrous that you can beat everyone else by miles in a regular season and still not be champions.

I agree, It's does seem unfair, I believe Rugby League have the same format for their SuperLeague?

That said, do you not think it's also unfair that an EFL side could potentially finish about 20 points behind another team and still get promoted over them in the play offs?

Actually, yes I do. I know we have been promoted by the play offs more than once; that it is an exciting way to go up if you win; and it makes a shed load of money. The format the youth team are playing seems more unfair than that currently operating in the EFL. There, if you win or come second (and third in League Two) you are still guaranteed promotion, which is right. The arrangement for the youth team seems worse to me, when you can win the regular season at a canter, but still lose.

The super league format is a load of bollocks as well, you get a league leaders shield , but your not champions.
Money talks in sport and it is not right than some teams get rewarded, for a short sprint when the others won the marathon.

At youth level I'm not sure it really matters but at adult yes I agree with you. Those kids will be getting it rammed home to them that they are champions and winners for the season. However it's a journey to becoming a professional. Now the coaches will see how they handle a group of one off games with more pressure
