Yes, I believe Rupp could be that petty. I deal day in day out with very senior people, the type that get ask to parliamentary committees to give their professional opinions on matters. Many of them have strong personalities, often fairly stubborn, and its not unusual for them to change their minds on something on a whim.

So, yes, I believe it is possible that he's like that because I know many who are.

Fine with the decent offer bit but don't get fooled into thinking he cares about what happens to the club once he's been paid He doesn't show many signs of caring now so what makes you think he will once he's gone

I know you can’t pick and choose new ownerships, but in my opinion we have a dodged a bullet with this WAGMI. However Rupp needs to either actively sell this club or pump a hell of a lot more money and effort in getting this club going again. I know people don’t like going back to old staff but James Mason is a free guy at the moment and he would know how to get things rolling at the very least.

 

The trouble is @JonButterfield, 80% of the posts berating another draw (as if it's a 7-0 defeat) are made by the same five or so posters who criticise the club regardless of what they do. The ones who slink into the darkness to sharpen their knives when we do well, waiting for the next bad result or tweet from the club. Unfortunately results haven't gone as well as expected so they've dominated the forum more than usual.
If he'd have blocked those five, he'd have had reasonable debate with the rest of us. Instead he's decided to switch off which is his right, but some of his insight will be missed. We should all be disappointed as supporters of the club, but we have to manage that disappointment and put it into context, just as we do with this takeover rejection. Hopefully they'll be another creditable bid around the corner, provided he's not bumped the price up to £15 million.

 

With your business empire, why not put an offer in for the club and at the same time tell us how many millions you are going to put into the transfer budget. Its wishfull thinking wanting Rupp out , he will sell when and if he gets an offer that he deems suitable. As has been said on here Rupp is no dlfferent to all the other owners we have had the past 70 to 80 years.

He needs to put up and start driving this club forward, or 'actively look to sell it' to someone who will.

 

I was asked a question, I answered. So that’s just irrelevant word salad in relation to the question I was asked, faithful or not .

 

I have no doubt at all that once he's gone, he won't give us a second thought. However, if rumours are to be believed of what the offer made by WAGMI was, he could very easily have taken the money and walked off with a very tidy profit. The fact that he didn't suggests he does feel some sense of duty towards the club and even though it sounds like the deal would have been a good one for him personally, he didn't for whatever reason, think it would be good for Bradford City. Maybe another more favourable deal is in the pipeline, perhaps he is going to step up and provide the investment we need to take us forward, I don't know, but what I do know is things can't continue as they are. I just hope Rupp recognises that and acts accordingly.

 

Any other examples of rupp being so petty before? In my opinion thats just nonsense. I have never seen or heard him be petty at all.

For someone who is made out on here to be just concerned about his investment that makes no sense. Everyone on here were saying as soon as he made a profit he would do one. He hasn't done that. Its not petty its due diligence from Rupp.

I have no evidence at all for this, but.......
Rupp stated that the first he'd heard about it was last week. The takeover group stated that they had been in contact for some time. That doesn't necessarily mean that it was with Rupp. It wouldn't be beyond the bounds to think that they had been in touch with someone senior at the Club who they could persuade that the takeover was a good idea so that this person could lobby on their behalf to get Rupp on board. Sparks has gone very quiet over all this!
