Success to Stefan in my opinion is not losing any more money. Be that in 2nd or 22nd place, I think that’s success in his eyes.

This is madness though. Madness. This wouldn't last a season before utter disaster. Good luck selling invisible things for money to Bradford folk. A few qr codes around the ground have made people lose control of their senses.

Just employ and back a half decent manager who understands the size of the club and the enjoyment will be back.

I'm not going to be less bored when they have gone bust and are playing at Odsal or Park Ave in step 15 and making an arse of it there as well.

Clapping into the abyss. Look we are massive, we have more fans than Albion Sports.

In a sense I have to agree with Park on this, if taken over we would seem to be the Guinea pigs for trying out a new way of sporting club takeovers. And do we really want to be some play thing for American cyber nerds. I certainly ain't happy with Rupp and there has never really been anyone bar BFG interested in taking over this club other than the two Germans. At the moment I'm not sure what I want from my club, I look at what Andy Holt has done at Accrington and fan lead clubs in Germany and wonder if this is the sort of model I would prefer rather than chasing an impossible dream.

I think there has been a certain amount of mischievousness going on here from them, to hold a conference on twitter for questions and answers was for me personally to test the water how fans felt and iff favourable to put pressure on SR to sell, whos knows but hopefully the truth will come out shortly.

What we need, is for Rupp to add a little meat to his statement that he’s not selling. Explain why. Explain his plans, his vision. I find it astounding, that we have a communications specialist as a CEO, yet our owner, with a lot of people on his back, stays silent or comes out with closed statements. Ryan needs to have a word with him,

This hype is reminiscent of the Notts County takeover when Sven was appointed manager and they signed Sol Campbell.
    That all ended in tears.
These Crypto maniacs have managed to get some free UK advertising but seem clueless about how to operate in the "normal" business world.

You don't think, on paper at least, we've employed any "half decent" managers in the last 8 or so we've taken on?

Perhaps instead of looking at and constantly changing the managers we need to concentrate more on the common denominators. One of them being Rupp.

It's interesting that quite a few posters who seem to be very much in favour of this rumoured takeover going ahead are the same ones whose main gripe with Rupp is that he is a disinterested, distant owner who has no affinity to the club. I seem to remember that Rupp was very interested in us at first when the novelty of owning a football club was new and the possibility of success seemed within our grasp.
Genuine question, what is it about these potential buyers of the club who live in America and seem to know nothing about Bradford City that makes people think they will be any different to Rupp, if success doesn't come quite as easily as they think it will?

You've had your answer to that question in the post from @Mike Hunt@Mike Hunt about comparisons to Bury and Macclesfield.

If that doesn't fully answer the question then nothing will.

There's a common theme - managers and players who succeed elsewhere, fail here. We're rotten.

For those who are quick to dismiss the crypto offer as 'too risky', we need to know more about the details of the offer and the plans that Wagmi have, whether they'd be investing in cash, what level of initial investment they'd be looking to place etc.

This club needs something new and different. Forget the idea that how we're being run today is risk free - its isn't. Its patently clear that ubder those who lead the club at the very top, we're more likely to go down than up. We're more likely to lose supporters than gain them. We're locked into a slow death, recurring cycles of decline.

Realistically I don’t think any takeover from these will happen, but you talk of shit hitting the fan as if it hasn’t already. Your friend Rupp has help put this club on its knees, two more seasons like this and the budget for a sustainable club will be even smaller and the quality of player coming in even worse. Pardon those who don’t want to see the club die a slow death which is the path it’s heading down without investment and proper leadership. You also claimed last season Bolton were heading to non league and potentially out of business, how did that go?

Call me cynical but I'll bet any club these guys choose to try and takeover, the 'investment' won't include any of their own money.

I don't care about Rupps affinity for the club, I care about his lack of investment to take it forward.

I don't care where the new owners reside or what their primary motivation is - if they're willing to provide a cash injection, as well as other resources (data analytics) to drive progress and leave the football operation to football people, bring it on.

Frankly, I'm willing to take the risk. Because this club is going nowhere and save for a 3-4 year period driven by one man, we've been in decline for 20 years. How much worse can it get? We're at the arse end of the league, the football is crap, we have no assets, and we're only really one poor window or season away from relegation and thereby extinction anyway.

I have no interest in treading water in League 2 whilst village teams overtake us continually.

Didn't realise you know them personally. That explains how you know they are chances.

People said EXACTLY the same about FSG when they bought Liverpool

Boom or bust situation for me if it goes well then god knows where it will go but if it goes wrong then we will probably end up going down the Bury or Macclesfield route ............ Rupp needs to come out and tell us his vision for the future because frankly at this rate I would rather take a shot at it ................

Daft thing is it wouldn't have taken a huge investment this season to have had the fans on Rupps side, half a million on wages for three decent league 2 players would arguably see us top three. And with that a chance to get that investment back with a promotion. Instead he's chosen to do bugger all bar tell Sparks to steady the ship from a financial point of view. Which to be fair he has but to the detriment of the product on the pitch. Risk versus reward, something I'll expect he looks at every week with his other business dealings. Just not with the football club...

Agreed certainly from my point of view that’s where the frustration comes from. It wouldn’t take a huge risk on either Rupps or the clubs(if they went down getting a loan route which would be fair enough) money to get us out of this league and get some excitement back among the fan base again. We aren’t talking throwing millions at it. Sustainable growth works in business but not suitability, we are running the club like a house hold. Sorry love can’t afford a holiday this year, need to tighten our belts well even Fordy can tell you business doesn’t work like that. The break even mark will continue to fall if this crap continues, then what do we do when even a Robinson is pushing the boat out?

You do realise the club would be funded traditionally? Season tickets, competition revenue, sponsorship, match day tickets, merchandise?
    Club bought with cash.
The NFT / crypto guff is the experimental side of it - we either make fortunes from it and invest it or we don’t and can’t grow the club.
But the core revenue streams remain the same.
We’re not overnight going to stop selling match tickets or season tickets (we will at the rate we’re going mind) and start hoping we sell a few gifs and pokemons here and there to keep us alive.
And yes, if one day we end up playing Albion Sports I’ll be there, like I will wherever we are.
