What does NFT crypto mean?


Non-fungible tokens

Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, are pieces of digital content linked to the blockchain, the digital database underpinning cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ethereum. Unlike NFTs, those assets are fungible, meaning they can be replaced or exchanged with another identical one of the same value, much like a dollar bill.

Imagine the burger kiosks only accepting crypto. It'll blow most punters minds! Patting their pockets and saying they've "forgotten to bring their bitcoin".

 

Simple isn’t it?

 

I couldn't care less how they fund the club as long as they do actually fund the club properly

Where they raise the money and in what stratosphere of the web doesn't matter one bit to me as long as that money goes towards the benefit of Bradford City

 

normally im a bit of a happy clapper but this is setting alarm bells off for me. it seems the funds for the club are to driven solely by NFTs which really in the grand scheme of things are worthless. what can the club do if the government for whatever reason ban the sale of NFTs?

hopefully the club becomes a lighting rod for how clubs can be run but in all honestly from me its a slight worry.

 

The other guys who I can gather are a part of it are @sportscheetah @dmorey on twitter.

 

Cheers found and read them all now. aeems they have tonnes of followed on Snapchat and TikTok etc too. I imagine they will try and sell shirts etc to them too and push it that way? Who knows but certainly will be different.
they say it’s months in the making and set to be announced soon?

 

Thing is though, look at how much these betting companies are involved with Football now. And a lot of them are funded by crypto. If the Gov did decide the ban the sale/trading or whatever, then these betting companies will start going pop, followed by the whole sponsorship structure of clubs who depend on those finances (sounds a bit like the Digital tv saga) collapsing and that's the end of the Premier League. I think in general, football is a house of cards.

do think this is going ahead though. sparks is wanting to rebrand the badge, the current one is quite poor to use digitally so a rebrand to make something easier to use as an NFT make sense

 

Is is just me that doesn't understand a word of that article? Crypto is entirely cryptic to me. That said, I'm very much up for trying something completely different - we're going nowhere but backwards as we are.

 

From the article, they sound like they're expecting it to happen in the next month. Tbh I've got no idea what to think of it because I've got absolutely no idea about the crypto and NFT world!

 

If Rupp gets £15m, isn't that more than double his investment?

Quite a businessman if it comes off, given the year on year decline he's overseen...

 

Dont expect too many likes. A lot on here were fuming the club only takes futuristic card payments at the burger kiosk..

 

If he gets it in bitcoin, he could be worse off a few days later! Been more up and down recently than a brides nightie (quote George Formby).
