No one can sit here and tell me this is a good side who are well coached. We have food xG and will eventually get it right. It’s rubbish.
We are rubbish. 2 wins in 18 games and no idea where the next one will come from. We played a poor side tonight and crumbled having again been in the lead. However felt we were fortunate to be with them having two cleared off fo the line.
We had a tough run and did nothing but still haven’t beaten anyone of note yet in this league.
Without our good august we would be in some serious trouble. Believe me we are a bad side.

Football matches are over 90 minutes. We play well in small spells and have chances which will happen in league two but we are so soft it’s untrue and we lose or drop so many points in moments. We are not tough enough and don’t really score many goals and don’t keep many if any clean sheets.
We have a squad which is always the same players down due to injuries and a real lack of any quality to bring off of the bench.

January will not fix this. It needs a few windows and a good clear out. Scunthorpe away next week is now must win

 

January is 5 weeks away, 6 weeks before anyone realistically moves clubs - what happened tonight in terms of the line up has bollocks all to do with January.

Adams is right, where we are in the league table means nothing, but our form at this point in time certainly does, and our lack of wins (second worst in the whole division across all competitions) is a serious indicator of whether we're going to achieve success this season or not.

Personally I don't think we are, and if we finish 10th or something then that wouldn't be a surprise to me - at no point did I ever think we were too good for 10th. From day one it was clear we had an average League Two side consisting of proper League Two players and nothing more; the chances of success hinged on Adams squeezing career best performances out of them, which he's not been able to do so far.

However, given I'm not remotely surprised by our current league position, I remain in favour of giving Adams next season because that was my stance the entire time. I was never convinced he was some magician who would get us promoted the first season here; I'd expect him to improve us over the Summer and get us promoted next year, though. And if we DO somehow go up this season, we're probably going up in 7th, indicating we ain't one of the best teams in the division anyway.

Sparks has no room to speak when it comes to people doing their job right. Hes the main reason we’re in this mess. Giving it the big un about how its a promotion season an look where we are, Relying on injury prone players for yet another fecking season. Its not on at all

Its like Buying a Garage; Hiring an experienced Mechanic to run day to day and then providing the mechanic with a box of lego an blue tack to do the job

 

Who is worse, Rupp for being the silent owner, or Sparks for peddling pipe dreams to the fans, our gob shy-te CEO needs to apologise for the awful football on offer this season and shy-te signings

 

Saturday won’t be easy, a tougher game than tonight that’s for sure! Keith Hill is 1 loss 2 draws in 3, no push overs, and fighting for their lives. Could be a draw, they have held Leyton Orient and Salford to draws WE LOST TO BOTH earlier on in the season (just in case you forgot!)

 

Bang on on both counts. It's going to take a few windows, and I'd rather we had some consistency over those windows.

And Scunthorpe, Jesus H, if we can't win that then there's something badly wrong.

This squad is nowt special, but there's a minimum standard I'd expect from them, and beating Scunny shouldn't be a big issue.

 

Did feel it’s gonna go that way. No one puts up with negative football when the results turn.

 

Adams setting up 5-4-1 against one of the lowest scorers in the division is the exact reason I never wanted him here in the first place. Negative, risk averse and boring football that does not work at this football club.

Losing the game and his substitutions are like for like. Gilliead comes on and offers nothing whilst the most creative player in the division is sat on the bench. Why?

Eisa coming on to play upfront when he's a LW. Why?

Stoppage time, lumping the ball forwards and we've not thrown a CB forwards despite not having a single player who can contest for, let alone win a header upfront. Why?

Stop making excuses for him. His tactics are appaling.

 

Sparks has kinda muckied his ticket by insisting promotion was the only aim this season.

While I'd be lenient with Adams, personally, for the sake of continuity if nothing else, Sparks has cost himself that luxury.

He does indeed need to be having frank conversations with Derek, although I'd perhaps leave it until January. Anything below 7th and Adams is failing Sparks, because Sparks set everybody up for that expectation.

 

Im quite shocked how Adams sounds so passive in this interview, it sounds like he was resigned to defeat as soon as Tranmere scored that second goal and knows he has not got the players with quality or enough fight for him within the squad

 

Change the manager if you want but the problems will still remain ............ the club is a mess let down time after time by a bunch of cowards who don’t care
They sold McCall down the river last season only to magically pick up when he went.
They did the same to the Sellars and Trueman last season when we had a good chance of at least getting into the playoffs
The same is now happening to Adams seriously how can you rely on a bunch of proven cowards ?????
Let’s at least give Adams a window or two to sort this mess out before we line up the next poor sod to fail

If Adams with a proven track record of getting teams promoted out of this league isn’t given time then god knows where we go from here
