Maybe @Dubois@Dubois was intimating that the right people are in the right position at those clubs who are successful. We had the right team in place during Parkys reign. Fitness, coaching, scouting, but since and before then for long periods it's been handled by people who at best could be described as Sunday league standard. You use Blackburn as an example, but their infrastructure is excellent and cat A standard. What Sparks is attempting to do is probably correct but it'll need investment from Rupp so that resources aren't being diverted away from the first team squad.

I don't think any of the examples you give conflict with the criteria I mentioned. And, just as an aside, Macclesfield and Stockporrt aren't and never were in Lancashire.

    Who knows these days
Either way they aren't "singing from the same hymn sheet,"
A winning run is what's needed to restore confidence

Fair point. They are North-West clubs and you did include Barrow. Stockport are in Greater Manchester and the boundaries/identities are slightly blurred.

I can see your point about ownership but I think the crucial factor is that the owners you mention actually want to own a football club and are able to tap into a big reservoir of experience and football know-how in Lancashire that's been around for a very long time.

The Fleetwood & Morecombe situation suprises me as many times those clubs are quoted as shinging examples of clubs with good owners building the club the correct way and moving their clubs forward.

Accrington are the club that amazes me. They really have a good little setup there. All pulling in the same direction.

Youve got history with writing off strikers not good enough for the great Bradford City - Eaves, Kee, Lyle Taylor, Madden...and Stockton.

The one I got wrong in that lot was Eaves, thought he was a big tall donkey but fair play to him, he's gone on to do well for himself. Way better than what we currently have.
