Well fair enough those are examples of parking the bus and not being able to get out at all

We definitely were able to get out but to me that's just a classic away performance with the majority focus on stopping them rather than trying to match them like for like and out playing them

    Anyway

Good discussion and a good win

Delighted for Lavery and Robinson who have had to wait for a chance and have taken it, Both offer something different with Lavary a box player and Robinson a more all round attacker both give Cook more to work with,
they just need games now to hone it with each other

Been playing more as a winger has Lavery but you can see his instincts on display today

Kiwomya was praising Lavery's clever movement and pealing off defenders. Something that Cook has missed playing alongside

Absolutely typical of City -play utter shite one day and then go away and win 3-1 with 27% possession.

    It does my head in.

So we now face FGR and could close the gap to the top to 7 points this time next week. Barmy division.

Even Gillead played well apparently. Got an assist and took up some good defensive positions.

    I need a lie down.

Played early season and got injured.

Clearly wasn't picked, because it took him a while for him to get his fitness back and we were doing OK in the league.

Came into the team after the terrible Crawley performance, when we'd been doing fine, in the league, before.

I like the fact that Adams refuses to rush players back, just to satisfy us. We've seen how that's benefited Songo'o as well as Sutton. Looks like we might be getting the same with Canavan, Lavery etc.

He plays a great importance on fitness. Always has

Another thought. We created a lot of chances today and Cooke and Vernam weren't on the pitch.

You pick up on my use of the word "hate" like I should go to prison - you always deflect away from your awful level of argument. You're all statement and no substance. It's boring. No intelligence to it.

You put something in quotes and italics like it's supposed to mean something. :joy::joy:

You're now introducing new aspects of "hardly had our first choice central midfield on a consistent basis" to further cloud your thin argument even though you can't go back to substantiate previous points.

You have made unsubstantiated statements because you said "Gilliead was key to our first half performance against Bristol Rovers" but you've provided no examples of anything he did even though I asked you FOUR times now.

Your comment "It detracts from your rather unintelligent 'black and white' comments about "inconsistently poor" Gilliead is" is nonsense. You told me to check what you said. You can't even quote me properly. :joy::joy::joy:

That's makes you a WUM because you're saying things but have nothing to back it up.

    Cry me a river... :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Well, this kind of shows why there's no point throwing the toys out of the pram.

The season is probably going to be a roller coaster right until the end, some are inevitably going to ride every peak and trough on a fully emotional level but it's probably not going to be very good for their hearts to get so worked up!

Given our current (lack of) consistency, FGR at home is probably going to be a dour 0-0! :joy:

Whether it was a fluke or not who cares really….his confidence will be boosted and that’s what we needed. Happy as on that video the club have released so here’s hoping he will continue to contribute now

I didn’t regard it as parking the bus. Murhino with Drogba alone up front was parking said bus. Today was nothing like that from minute 1 to minute 95.
Anyway irrelevant…that was a damn good win, accompanied by a professional performance. 4-0 would not have shamed them . They were cluless in the final 3rd , because we MADE them so.

And I've explained why it's pointless giving you examples. If you were Park or Bronco, i.e. a calm reasonable poster who gives a critique as to why a player disappoints them, I'd have bothered to tell you.

I was making a point that he's not "consistently poor". There's a statement you've made, that you certainly can not back up.

No wonder you're smiling so much. It is quite laughable, that you can't simply concede that label was a poor phrase to chose.

Let's leave it there, I've a Saturday night to enjoy.

@banbrotam@banbrotam - let's be having you. Oh great dodger of a question!!!

I bring to you SIX examples where you have failed to answer a simple question - What did Alex Gilliead do in the Bristol Rovers game that made him a key part of us dominating the first half because that's what you said. He was integral to us being all over them.

Come on. Or just admit you're a WUM.

I had Swindon’s commentary on the Norfolk Islands….They were quite complimentary in the last 5 mins.

Correct. No reason why that can't be used at home - particularly when you consider Cooke should be available for future matches

Ignore the possession stats. It was ALL sideways and backwards in the majority of the first half and all over the 2/3 of the field in the second , but final third….cluless! Because defensively we were excellent.

You've given no examples. That's my point.

Just a WUM who comes on here with random statements to wind everyone up.

Your deflection tactics, would make Boris Johnson proud of you. I've explained why I haven't given your the food your are so desperate for.

Imagine I sucede to your wish. All you'd do is argue that didn't prove he was any good as it hasn't resulted in a goal.

I admire you for throwing in that question as it distracted from your harsh writing off of Gilliead when he was busy having one of his more effective games.

    Bye for now!!

Yes it was a perfect away performance.
At home it needs to be 4-4-2
