Easy target, isn't it? Easy to blame someone no longer here than the players. After all, he needs to work with most of these players for the next 3 or 9 months. Assuming he stays that long because its ultimately Sparks job on the line because he went "all in" for Adams so really their success or failure is almost inextricably linked.

You're right Wilsden but we can't go on doing the same thing for 3 or 4 consecutive matches. We're now predictable. That's how Barrow did so well today. They knew what we'd do and counteracted it.

Can't wait till October the month that keeps giving, Angol, Eisa both back and the announcement of Adams new team.

I said at the end of last season that we needed to replace all the players in front of the defence. Five of them were playing today with predictable results. The other was Gilliead who was arguably even worse. It's beyond me how people rate players like Watt and Cooke when week after week we see players in the opposition who are streets ahead. I had great confidence in Adams, and he may yet pull us through, but when we've been crying out for a defensive midfielder and then we sign one but don't play him, it's very hard to understand. And how signing the likes of Kelleher, Lavery and Robinson is going to get us promoted is beyond me.
And one of my golden rules is that when a manager talks absolute crap about a game I've just witnessed with my own eyes, then it's time for him to go. It used to happen when they'd been with us for a couple of years. Unfortunately, Mr Adams has already done that more than once and the season has barely started. A lot of time to turn things around but it's not looking good at the moment.

I kept saying to the grandson look Barrow have got every City player marked not allowing us to use the space, and not one of ours had the gumption to make a run when we did have the ball, yet time and time again Barrow found so much time and space in the middle of the park where we were allowing them on the ball.

Who'd have thought we'd have been pinning all our hopes for the season on Lee Angol?!

Looking at his record, my fear is that, no sooner will he be back, then his hamstring will go again. It's obvious he's got ability but also obvious how he became available for us to sign.

You're right. Unless something is announced in this mysterious October announcement then Sparks has contradicted himself.

That was always going to be the risk we took with the lad, but as you say whats we've seen so far the kid has ability.

Just listened to Adams post match and although IMO it was not a great football match we have to take more of the chances we are making, at least make the keeper save the shot/header, unfortunately again we didn't.

I think most of us thought Gilli would be unproductive/5hite again.
Eisa was an exciting singing but we’ve not seen him and Angol is unfortunately a bit of a crock.
No back up to cook/other option-what are lavery and Robinson? Lavery reminds me of third spell billy clarke. Tidy enough footballer but nothing else-skilful lad in lower leagues.
Not changing a failing system is criminal, forget getting the players in on Sunday. Sparks should have DA in the office and explain the broken clock analogy to him and ask for answers.
Mid table for us this season I think kiddahs. 10th likely. I had a reasonable about of faith from the early transfer window but the terrible late stages and the binning of the kids who showed promise has me thinking differently now

It was the other day, he said there would be a statement in October about how we were to move forward after the exit of Turnbill.

Out of interest does anyone know if Adams ever changed formations during his time at Plymouth and Morecambe or is this formation likely to stay?

What worries me Bronco is Adams keeps mentioning our missed chances in games but he never seems to address our terrible defending. We could easily conceded a couple more goals today against Barrow that just went over the bar.

We keep saying "we have no back up to Cook" but honestly that doesn't make sense because the way we're playing doesn't play to Cook's strengths!

I bet he's as frustrated as anyone else.

We need to change the way we play or actually change Cook - he's not scoring because the team isn't set up to help him score.

The tactics and substitutions for each match are a repeat of the previous one and the post match interviews are a repeat of the previous one! I think he's one stubborn individual and insistent on doing it his way, regardless. Well, if he continues in the same tried and failed manner, we'll continue to slide down the table.I haven't seen, or heard, him hold his hand up yet.

Sparks can't handle him even. He's smitten so if you are right then we are in trouble.

Or address the lack of a striking partner for Cook
Just the same old we will convert chances sooner or later, and let's get them training again tomorrow when the tactics are so far wrong apart from p1ssing the players off and risking injury what will that achieve
Once Canavan returns our defence is "passable"the main reason they are under so much pressure is the inability to hold the ball in the opposing half that won't be put right until Cook has some help to keep it there
At this rate we will have part 3 of the Doyle/ Vaughan Trilogy

What worries me is that even after been in charge for only a few matches Adams is already talking bollocks in his interviews, If he thinks he can convince the fans different from what they see with their own eyes and the weaknesses we see he is wrong, He can try and convince us and himself all is well but the crowd see different,
Time to get results and goals instead of talking about them, We know words are cheap here at City because we have had plenty of them in the past.
