Bank charges for banking cash and getting change from the bank are higher than the electronic charges

Imagine the increases if they hadn't saved the money on staffing

Out of interest to all those that avoid self serve, and those that prefer cash.

Where do you get your cash out?

Just the same unfortunately. It’s a maximising profits driven sector.

Not quite sure that is right if you include the terminal charges and the percentage charged, usual fees are around £30 a month for each terminal in use and 1.25% on each transaction, Bank charges are around 30p per hundred paid in and on change

I suppose that all depends on the size of the shop and the bank you use but I can see why banks would have increased costs for manual banking at a higher rate than card use so perhaps I'm out of touch now.

I'll tell you what else stops with cashless. Those moments when you put on a jacket you've not worn for ages and find a forgotten about twenty pound note in one of the pockets.

My wife is continually finding money in a handbag she hasn’t used in ages. Never believes me when I say I gave it to her for safe keeping when I was pissed though.

Just chatted with my Ivermectin supplier, thankfully he's confirmed he'll be cash only now and forever.

    We are the resistance.

Hardly likely at Asda or Tesco though. Use the self serve checkouts and there is no minimum. It's only very small shops that do that. For now,

Classist, bourgeois snobbery. Only have to look at the people who were working throughout the whole lockdown to see how vital they are to
    society.

Not as if they work long hours and lack holidays in normal times. Chuck in a cracking pension and it’s a life of Riley for these teachers. Start at 9, in the pub by half three, yummy mummies on the gate to chat to, 12 weeks a year holiday, earn half what I do and get double the pension retiring at 55 to go on supply of become an Ofsted inspector.
    Don’t know they’re born.

My wife is a teacher, if she sees this, my phone was hacked right?

Don't know if it's an urban myth, but it was once said many years ago that the ATM in Winstons had the highest turnover of any in the country
