Not for some of our moron fans no. Infact I actually can't believe anyone would think a professional footballer would do what was alleged but then we are talking football fans.

I do hope the fan that threw the object ( a lighter?) at their player is identified and banned.

We won’t win everything but it’s always the manner of how we lose. We were totally useless today. Adams is ruthless, looks like the players will learn that he is the hard way, said it will be no days off now, also indicated that there is a culture of having it easy here. I think this guy is the real deal.

 

The club is LAZY! It's a club that makes excuses for failure. You only need to read posts on here from some to understand that but Adams won't stand for it. He will tell it how it is to the powers at be. No dancing! No excuses!

He is what this club needs at this moment in time for sure.

Agreed, can't blame the lad for having a little dig back at us after having lighters thrown at them, clearly meant nothing more than that.

This was all planned. The Orient player got his mate a ticket in our end and gave him a lighter, he told him to throw it at him if he scored at the right end (he deliberately scored in the second half so he was in position) so he could then mock the fire in front of our fans.

It has to be time for a petition to have him banned from football for life.

 

Agreed we are too nice and want to give players lots of love and attention, no Mr nice guy now.

 

I agree stick him in the banned pile with that prick who abused Billy Sharp about his child, we don’t need them sort of fans. All they have done is incite our fans and given a player a bad name wrongly. What a crap day all round.

 

I don't think having the players training seven days a week will achieve anything, except maybe a few more injuries and a deterioration in squad morale. Smacks of a knee jerk reaction.

Perhaps it's the quality of training that needs improving, rather than the quantity? Working smarter, rather than harder.

The first goal on the near post was poor defending, Songo is no where near getting a clearing header in then Sotiriou gets between two defenders giving himself the only option available was to belt it, could ROD done better ?.

This might prove to be a blessing in disguise over the coming weeks. A reminder that when we're not on it, and not doing the ugly stuff well, we'll take nothing. We're a good side, but not that good that we can go through the motions and expect to take anything. Standards need to be high, all the time.

You can see the lad had no intention of mocking our club after he scored the lighter must have been thrown on after and if he wants to make a cigar joke that's fair play if the fans want to get offended by anyone it should be the fan who brought the lighter into play

 

We were well off it today. Chalk and cheese from the last few weeks. Orient weren't exactly great but had more energy about them and won the physical battle. We looked leggy and clueless going forwards which is unlike us this season.
