    People will always make predictions.

    In Morecambe’s case they will be one of the four worse teams in div 1.

    If Bradford City, Salford or basically at least 10-15 teams in div 2 I would fancy them to beat Morecambe if a match was played next season.

    Burrow or a National League team are different as a lot at good teams better than Div 2 already.

    Two seasons ago, Gillingham away, big pub on a street corner, one or two City fans in. Me and the lad in corner of the bar, City shirts on…..big obese tattooed local walks out points around the pub.

    “ Hey look at the NorthernMonkeys” and promptly exits the door.

    Did I forget to mention it was a woman…..Think it was a Wetherspoons!:cool:

    Oh thats right, you were one of those that has written off Morecambe before a new manager installed and a squad assembled.

    You may or may not be correct on City finishing 8th but your words dont carry weight simply writing off teams in June.

    But 20 teams in league one wernt better than them last season so what has changed?

    Would that be the Adams factor? Something our club has benfited from?

    Well they do in Bradford City’s case at the moment because we finished 15th last season and have made most of our signings which are ok but no where near good enough.

    One or two more QUALITY signings could have me thinking we will finish higher.

    Look, the aim of the club has to AUTOMATIC, I have said this for months but being Bradford City won’t achieve that. Why need better quality players.

    No, going up automatically. Winning the league is just a bonus but top 3 is just getting out of league without the risk of a play off lottery has to be the aim.

    Do you think Man City, Chelsea and Pool fans think finishing in Champions League spaces is the aim and the title is just a bonus?

    Winning the league is always the aim. It should be for us in L2.

    Aiming for the top gives you some slippage. Just aiming for the top 3……means you could end up in the Play Off’s. Aim for the very top. City hasn’t actually won a major honour since 1985! Top spot on the podium.

    I understand that but the overall aim is to get out of the league. Winning it is a bonus but 1st, 2nd or 3rd I don’t care.

    Agree. But for once I would like to say we were the absolute best. It will be 37 years since we won anything other than coming in as a runner up. Yes we won the Play Off final, a great day out, a great result in getting promotion (arguably better than coming second or third), but still not ‘out and out’ winners.
