    As a backup, fair enough. But if we're signing what looks to be a one season wonder to be our main striker, I'll be very disappointed.

    Maybe he is a perfect fit for the way Adams wants to play in any case in the end it doesn’t matter what we think it’s down to Adams who lives or dies on results

    Does he or did he just have no other option at morecambe? If he signs him you are right, if he doesn't, or more to the point signs others before Stockton goes elsewhere, then he clearly doesn't. Beware the one season wonder. Only ever scored more than five goals in one season.

    As I said Adams signed him and as well as scoring 15 he was player of the season in a promotion team and here is the important bit if Adams feels he is right for us so be it

    It might be, but I would hope the negotiations will have clauses on it regarding first team appearances, achievements and potential international appearances.

    Which he managed with Adams....looks like he found a way to get the best out of him. Dont under estimate the impact a manager can have. Nobody gets a tune out of Eoin Doyle like Richie Wellens....
