It's a Bradford City football kit, it's not exactly going to be a masterpiece, football kits are incredibly samey - but I'm still looking forward to the faux-revulsion and entitled hand-wringing from weirdos pretending their opinions are really strong on a) football kits in general and b) those that wear football kits.

The lads in group b) are the real repressed weirdos for caring what other people wear, but those in a) deffo give them a run for their money!!

So we’re going for a white home shirt based on a 70s shirt, and the away shirt will be the “Waddle” one?

Can’t see why the Waddle one can’t be the home shirt, and the white away.

Probably. Do people buy both, or just one? The prices these days, I'm guessing just their favourite. How many teams in our div play in white? I should imagine that we'd use the "away" kit, more than the "home" kit during matches.

A white kit would get used for all the home games plus away games where it didn’t clash. So no, a white kit would get used more.

So we'll be forcing the away team to wear their home shirts when playing us at VP. Nice disruptive gameplan already :) Cunning.

Surely we will use the home kit at home so that is half of the matches as the away team will have to change.

Why would we force them to wear their home shirts?!

Teams only wear their away kit if it clashes with the home. They dont wear their away kit simply because they are away!

Even though I like the traditional claret and amber stripes I liked the white Admiral kit of the late 70s. Memories of McNiven, Baines, Staniforth, Mick Wood, Barry Gallagher......

I think you'll find they do. How often did we wear claret & amber stripes away in the season just gone? Hardly ever. They want to sell away shirts as well as home ones, so they wear them, or the third kit, to promote them.

Well the fact is we did wear claret and amber away from home. We only wore the away when completely necessary - anyone with red/yellow or black forced the change.

We didnt wear our away kits against Bolton, Tranmere, Oldham, Colchester, Barrow, Carlisle etc. Thats 'hardly ever'.

No doubt have to wear it X number of times but it will be pretty low I think. Our away kits get plenty of outings in our league because there are a lot of teams in Red and a few in yellow. We wouldnt wear against a blue or all white team.

I’d love a version of our ‘blue army’ away kit from ‘96/‘97. Here’s a homage I did last week. 943EFA66-9C1D-43DA-9AA0-8EB0DE8620B2.jpeg
