is it still the same company making this years strip? I wish we had a Puma/Adidas or something similar. That would show intent.

Good point. When does the deal with Nike’s castoffs end?

Really, playing in an Adidas strip is a sign of intent that we mean business? Remember the Nike kits, they were absolute crap and impossible to get hold of due to production numbers and costs

I actually don't think Avec have done a bad job at all with the kits, if you overlook the numbers debacle from this season's away and Edins "ready for battle" shirt.

Kits from the last 5 years or so have been well above any other the standard of any other post dating the premier League stuff

I totally agree. I reckon we're better off being a big fish to Avec than a minnow to likes of Nike and Adidas. I've actually bought a few shirts for the first time in ages in recent years because I've liked the "traditional" designs (claret and amber stripes and white away shirts). For me, living in a Liverpool, if I play 5-aside in a claret and amber striped shirt people recognise it as being a City shirt.

Big credit needs to be passed on to Colchester they have decided due to excess kits from last year unsold, the fact that fans had also bought shirts to wear at games they have decided no new kit for this year and to keep last years. Think other clubs need to follow suit, changing kits every year is so expensive for the fans

Have to disagree because we've been told next season's kit will be a real sign of intent. No way do I want to carry forward this season's kit, which quite frankly, lacked purpose.

Oh No! Edin Rahic told us the relegation kit was going to be a "fighting kit".

It wasn't the kit that lacked purpose.....it was the bloody players.

Surely it's going to be the FA Cup winning kit? Just gone 110 years

I hope they pimp it up a bit. I think in this day and age, with the majority of youth not knowing/caring about the FA Cup win in 1911, they are definitely not going to wear something with a drawstring collar! The colours and yolk are great, so if they replace the lace tie up with a couple of buttons, I think it will be something that people will want to buy and wear.

Of course, others will moan it's not stripes. My suggestion to Avec to counter this, is to go crazy and put the stripes on the shorts! We'll dazzle the opposition!

Actually, looking at the shirt on this site http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Bradford_City/Bradford_City.htm the 1911 shirt looks exactly the same as the 1920/21 shirt....so maybe that's the anniversary he's talking about. 100 years.

I was still wearing the long duvet type jacket up until last season when thd zip went, great value although at times I got my leg pulled for not having a new jacket.
