The PM of our nation was publicly criticised for taking a bike ride on his own slightly outside his local area yet here we have someone able to travel up and down the country watching football matches that don’t need to be there. We’re grateful that football is continuing but stadium access should be restricted only to the people required to enable the game to proceed. WW should cease attending away games until fans are allowed to return.

The only buffoon in West Minster stands at the prime minister's dispatch box.

I wouldn't say he's the only buffoon in Westminster by a long shot, but he's certainly the biggest.

To merely pick on the inadequacies of Johnson when the vast majority of them are useless is unfair. Even Starmer is now showing his weak side already, no matter how bad the Tories lower the bar, Labour manage to make themselves unelectable. Imagine not being able to beat the likes of Johnson, Gove, Hancock, Rees Mogg et al. You must be really unbelievably bad.

Yes it is shocking the position Labour find themselves in under Starmer given the performance, antics and unlawful practices carried out by the current government.

Agree, just shows the pathetic state of politics in this country. Not being held accountable for their actions because we have the weakest opposition in living memory. Quite sad really.

So just for the record @Bronco@Bronco if someone wealthy was willing to give BCFC some cash, should that enable them to circumvent the restrictions and attend events that are inaccessible to everyone else? Just interested

I have seen owners of football clubs attending games, Bill Kenwright was at an Everton home game, did you not see Sir Alex with his mask on watching the Man United/ Newcastle game, Dalglish was at a Liverpool game the other week.

You have to ask, what purpose do they serve when at a game? In what capacity do they facilitate the game being played?
Let's take tonight's game. An Orient director attends. Why? What purpose does he/she serve in attendance at that particular game in enabling its participation?

On that basis the camera operators and radio staff along with the press should not be allowed to travel and film or report on the game for iFollow as not essential according to you, So no commentary and no watching the game or highlights or reading the reports on the game in the local paper,

I'm not defending wetherbywhaler he is far more competent to do that than me, and I see where some are coming from, I do believe we have far more serious questions to debate but that does not mean fans shouldn't question the situation.

That’s not what I said, of course we need media coverage , it’s an entertainment industry. There’s thousands of us sitting at home watching as it’s our only option, therefore essential. We don’t need associate directors sitting in the stands then hob knobbing in the bar afterwards.

Not sure I agree, Its not essential fans see the game but is essential the club is officially represented at the match with an authorised FA official usually a club director,
I suppose it depends how you define essential

Surely that authorised official is Ryan Sparks. Unless something has changed recently the Associate Directors are not on the Bradford City board and it is merely an honorary title.
During this lockdown we would love to walk in the hills surrounding Edinburgh but are not allowed to travel outside the city boundary.
I can understand Loyal Bantams points about unnecessary travel.

The club can nominate who are official representatives, There is normally more than one in case they cannot attend @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler has been the clubs representative at games for a few years now especially as JR did not attend many away games, and since retiring as a director of Morrisons does much unpaid work behind the scenes for the club

Nobody is doubting the loyalty and work that @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler does for the club but the point remains that it’s not necessary for him to attend away games. It would actually be interesting to know who at the club does travel aside from the playing and coaching staff.

It's also not necessary for people to leave their homes to take exercise, but it is allowed and most people do. It could equally be argued that many people don't need to go shopping when they could have it delivered, but again it is an allowed activity.

The government, in conjunction with the FA/EFL, decided that what Wetherby Whaler does is an allowed activity, so I'm still struggling to get my head around the point you are trying to make.

Do you want the government to stop people leaving their homes for exercise, shopping etc. or do you think football should be suspended or do you just want to stop Wetherby Whaler?
