    Oh come on!!

Rhodes was brought back in by Rupp to help sort out the Edin mess. The mess that you state was massive! You now claim to say we might be turning a corner.

Turning a corner isn't down to Ryan is it? As he has been here 2 minutes. It's would have been down to Rhodes. So why wouldn't the club thank him for his time and do a goodbye story on the website?

Is he a paid consultant to the club or not?

I 'm not believing he has left or has nothing to do with the club. Sorry, I don't.

It's a shame we've had 3 recent games postponed that would have given most fans a better idea if T&S were turning things around on the pitch, even without playing those games I feel more positive than I did on 13 December 2020 when Stuarf went.

If Peterborough are run in such a progressive and exciting manner by McAnthony, then why are they ‘stalling’ as a club?

Since 2004 they have had three seasons in the Championship. What is conveniently ’airbrushed’ is that they have also had three seasons in League Two!

Their average attendances are very poor!

    upload_2021-1-19_10-27-34.png

There are no ‘major clubs close by. Leicester City are over 40 miles away and have only recently become a major player.

There is a massive catchment area, with no League alternatives, closer than Leicester. The population of Peterborough is over 200,000, with the total population of Cambridgeshire 855,000 https://cambridgeshireinsight.org.uk/population/report/view/9eb28cf5b5d045d28eeabce7819ba4f6/E47000008/
Add onto that North and West Norfolk, South Lincolnshire, Rutland, and East Northamptonshire and the figure is well over 1,000,000.

Compare that to Bradford, who in the recent 10 years have had 8 Premiership clubs within 40 miles, a professional Rugby League side in the City, then why hasn’t Peterborough done wonders?

A comparison between Peterborough and clubs like Southampton, Bournemouth, Brighton, Swansea, and Stoke, is far more relevant. Similar catchment areas to Peterborough. City has a lot more to compete with!

McAnthony may ‘talk the talk’, but despite the glittering ‘sales’, Peterborough is no big success story. In 2004 they were in the third tier, which is where they are now.

Yes, you are. I give you that.

So, when you are at the club next tell them that fans would like a goodbye Mr Rhodes on the website then. He deserves it. Sure Ryan wouldn't have a problem with that.

Bloody hell if Guthrie gets a goodbye then surely Rhodes should get one.

Once that is done I will believe Rhodes isn't a paid consultant or CEO without the title.

They were League 2 when he took over. 3 years in the Championship in the last 10 years is 3 more than us.

    And in that time he's;
    - Bought the ground, so no longer paying £450k rent
    - Found a new £25M stadium which will be self-funded working alongside the University and incubator companies working in the facilities
    - Has talent worth between £15-20M in his squad (Dembele attracting big offers)
    - Currently, sitting in the playoffs
    - He's sold a 51% share for a considerable sum
    - Made £60m on player sales (we made £10m in the same period)

Despite his crowds being a third of ours, his commercial revenue is 3 x higher.

I would have hoped we could have used that 60 million better. Yes Peterborough’s model is a good one they have a great record of finding talent buying at the right price and selling at the right price. But the business comes before the ambition they sell no matter how it affects the team. They are going well this year maybe it’s their time

It baffles me that fans of our club can point out the negatives of how Peterborough are run. It's like the hunchback of notredame pointing out that you've a boil on your back.

Yeah but apart from the years in the championship, buying the stadium, making the club an attractive stepping stone to the Premier League, building a new stadium and selling lots of players. What has he actually done for Peterborough?

That’s success that Rupp and Sparks can only dream off.

Is there any need for that sort of comment about fellow City fans, we all have different opinions on all things football maybe you should respect that ?.

Now that's a fair assumption, however the T&A printed a front page from the old Yorkshire Sports recently, dated 1971 and 16 of the clubs in the top division are there now.

And going forward that will always be this case the money the Premier League clubs are getting annually will dictate who plays and stays in it.

On that basis, any club that appoints a new manager and has the new manager bounce, the results aren't down to him because he's only been here two minutes ? Ryan appears to be making changes faster than any previous (specifically Rhodes) CEO has ever done.

We had a CEO in the early days of Richmond (or could be in the days of the guy he swapped Scarborough with - the travel agent). He was totally faceless and was sacked after about three months, so faceless I bet know one remembers his name (Wasn't Etherington either).

Give Sparks a chance to make a difference, he wont solve all the ills overnight but if each month ends with a positive change then he is doing a good job.
