Isn't he past the age at which we could get a "development fee". He's 25 on 17th July, I thought you had to be under 24 at the date your contract expires in which case he would need to have been born no later than 1st July 1997

I once asked him on Twatter if he would ever consider buying us and he replied saying if he left Posh, and still wanted to be in football, we would be top of his list due to potential. Course he could have been just appeasing me, but that doesn't seem to be his MO.

Small change in comparison to what Posh/McAnthony have taken over the years.

£6M Dwight Gayle to Crystal Palace (July, 2013). Cost: £470k. Profit: £5.53M

£5.5M Britt Assombalonga to Nottingham Forest (August, 2014). Cost: £1.25M. Profit: £4.25M

£3.5M Ryan Bennett to Norwich City (January, 2012). Cost: £500k. Profit: £3M

    £2.5M Craig Mackail-Smith to Brighton (July, 2011). Cost: £125k. Profit: £2.375M

£2.5M Conor Washington to QPR (January, 2016): Cost 150K. Profit: £2.35M

£1.5M Paul Taylor to Ipswich (August, 2012). Cost: Free. Profit: £1.5M

£1.5M Lee Tomlin to Middlesbrough (January, 2014). Cost: £200k: £1.3M

£1.3M Aaron Mclean to Hull City (January, 2011). Cost: £150k. Profit: £1.15M

    TOTAL PROFIT: £21.455M

This is without the recent Toney deal said to be in the region of £5 million and around £10 million with add ons.

Maybe you should go on to their forum and convince their fans of that then

Do you have a list of the losses? Didn't they pay Hartlepool £0.5M for Luke James?

Bradford City is one of the most unambitious football clubs in the football league. It's an embarrassment when you factor everything.

Peterborough are 10 times more ambitious than us.

Admit it to yourself! I would rather Darragh as owner than Rupp any day of the week.

It also doesn't factor in signing on fees, loyalty bonuses, agent fees .... etc etc.

    Those figures are pure fantasy.

The full support and backing of a council is enormous.

I can definitely see why Bradford Council wouldn't have all their plans revolving around Bradford City, whereas it seems to make a little bit more sense to build your infrastructure around the club in Peterborough.

Take £500,00+ off and all the signing on fees off loyalty bonuses, agent fees it's still a massive return and a nice wedge in his pocket, with the money they have made over the last decade I would have expected them to have been pushing and achieving promotion to the Championship season on season that was my original point.

Fordy117 I think I'm starting to understand. You're just a doomed romantic like the rest of us. You forever kick and scream at the club's shortcomings - in my opinion, sometimes rightly - but you're too in love to leave this partner who annoys, frustrates and infuriates you, because at the heart of it..is your heart. Whatever, you could not stop being a Bradford City fan. I suspect you'd be one of the last men standing in the ground if we were playing Gainsborough Trinity in the National North.

Would our fans accept seeing very little ploughed back into the squad and the club not moving forward.

Given that they've been sat in the 3rd tier of english football since 2013 hardly suggests that the Posh are ambitious.
In fact I'd say the opposite. The owner seems to be happy to buy players and sell them on at a big profit over trying to invest in stregthening the team and push up the leagues.
This is probably because his business model for the club (buy low, sell high) would see more of the profit from these sales having to go on wages and fees if the Posh were in the Championship or the PL. I wonder how much he takes out of the club each year?
They don't have a massive fan base or catchment area. This means more emphasis on the owner to fund the club. And as they've sat in Lg1 for 7 years now I'd say that tells you all you need to know about the owners ambitions.

If the end game was to build or buy the stadium, own training facilities suitable to progress, then I believe they would. The championship is rapidly becoming Premiership 2 and to attract top players, you have to have the infrastructure in place.

Clubs who go up and do not invest in the off field facilities, will in my opinion come straight back down in the next few seasons.

What you are really saying is that Posh are 10x better than us at spotting talent to sell on. That I can agree on.

If you determine ambition as always selling your best players to help pay the bills then Posh are very ambitious.

Ambition to me is building a side decent enough to get into the Championship.

How much do we as club reinvest in the squad - we have seen players like Windass, Johnson, Wells, Mcburnie sold and of late saved wages farming out Doyle and Vaughan but not seen a significant re investment to date in decent players. It has been about keeping the club afloat paying debt and bills.
