He'll do a job at that level just don't sign him if you're looking to play out from the back as his passing his woeful. Probably made to look worse by McCall than he actually was.

 

There should have been a poll to decide if a poll was needed. Would have prevented these sorts of questions.

 

He wasn't the only one who struggled badly in Macca's team.

As someone mentioned Solihull would be an ideal move, near home and the right level. And yeah, he was one of many who looked poor pre Sellers and Trueman.

 

Paudie has looked a different player under Sellers and Trueman, I think for Ben it had just got to the point where there was no way back for him. Good move all round, hope he gets fixed up at club that plays to his style and level.

On paper you’d think he would and I said that last night, but having thought about it a bit more what other profession rewards failure like football? In a week where Josh and Mark Wright have got a league 2 club BRE could sign up for Man City by Friday, nothing surprises me in this sport anymore.

Its a fair point. Under McCall, he looked slow to react, didn't win first or second balls, lost his 50/50s, looked unsure of his positioning and was badly exposed in terms of being isolated. All of the same could have been said for the O'Connors. As soon as T&S came in and we went to 4 at the back, with decent protection in front and balance across the side, we stopped trying to 'play out from the back' and both O'Connors have played as proper League 2 centre backs. I think BRE would likely have done the same, I just think that his confidence and desire to be here was shot.

I think he'll rock up at another lower half League 2 club, and I wouldn't be surpised if he did OK. Under Bowyer, in a more rigid and defensive 4 at the back, he looked pretty good for a few weeks.

To be fair, maybe the rest of society can learn something from football.

Failure in one context doesn't guarantee failure in another; failure under one manager doesn't guarantee failure under another.

Actually, if you assemble the right team with the right balance across a wide variety of sectors, you will have a strong team.

But then again, sometimes, some people are utter baba at their job...

To be fair to Dylan, I wouldn't wish an unestablished player out of his contract, particularly given the situation.

I'd sooner we tried to loan him out and gave him a chance.

Richards Everton is much more likely to secure football even if it's in non league.

 

I agree. I just don't see DMH getting another pro contract. Hopefully he's got something he can fall back on
