    Same.

I felt sorry for him personally, and embarrassed that the club fielded him.

I bloody hope we've got several decent signings lined up, and that everyone at the club understands the paucity of this squad, because without serious reinforcement, this club will be a non league club next season.

No I am not. I want winners at our football club from manager to players. Encouraging pub players because they show enthusiasm is the reason we are plummeting towards non league oblivion

We all want winners. Look I get that he was not good enough for the level we were at, but.....Bruenker didn't sign himself for the club, he didn't pick himself to be in the squad, he didn't pick himself to be on the bench and it was never his decision that he should be brought on for 20 minutes. In those circumstances all I can ask is that when he gets on the pitch he gives it everything, even if he is obviously not good enough. So yes, for him personally I would have loved him to get his league goal....you miserable soandso :grinning:

We'll sign a couple cheap 18 year old on the last day of the window.

REASON..... Because we didn't know what league we'd in.

McCall is coming across as far too blase for my liking, believing all will be well come January and the end of season. He said that he doesn't look at the league table, well I suggest he urgently takes a look and sees the mess he has put us in

From 8th to 21st since he came back, and rewarded with a new contract, utter bonkers

I am sick of hearing McCall apologists on the wireless, latest caller blaming Covid, surely every club is in the same position. He goes on to say that the salary cap has hampered McCall, does he not realise that McCall didnt even spend what he had available

McCall was shite first time he came as manager , he wasn’t much better second time and third time he’s taking the absolute piss . No salary cap or global pandemic are the issues here it’s the fact that stuart McCall isn’t a very good football manager .

I totally agree, what is equally more worrying though is the powers that be and a fair few supporters are sucked in by this narrative.

Blind faith is not a plan, fair enough if you are giving McCall more time then there should be a plan in place. By that interview it sounds as though this conversation has not even taken place yet!!!

Six league defeats in the last 8 but we have to keep McCall for the sake of continuity and stability say his blessed followers.

I agree. Not just that he didn’t spend what he had but absolutely no where near what he had.Rumours of 400 grand left and we are playing DMH and French as our wide players and BRE up front. He should be ashamed and embarrassed with how he is attempting to get us out of the shit show that he has put us in.

You don’t know for a fact , that he gas £400k - what if he had little or no budget left?

Rhodes likes holding funds back to see what transpires and where we are in Jan.

Weve said rotten from the top down? What meddling was there?

It was a tough one for the club when theres a global pandemic, you have no matchday income and a 30k seater stadium yo pay the rent on, you have inherited a poor squad but know you somehow have to balance the books. It was a daunting task given the pandemic and just how shite we were and the deadwood we were carrying that no one wants.

Do you blow a load of money and leave nothing left snd risk admin.

some of these signed players will be on low wages snd were probably only viewed as squad players.

Personally i feel his biggest mistake is over complicating our style of play. Clearly big mistakes have been made.

Hindsight and all that and you cant deny a terrible injury list no one can foresee, and yes a manager who has made mistakes.

What a mess this club is in.

When people go on about this terrible injury list lets break it down because they are talking utter nonsonse and using it as an excuse for failure.

ROD - Played every league game.

Back 4-5 - Wood Played every league game. AOC. POC. BRE all been available. French been available.
    Midfield - Watt been available.
Up front - Donaldson and Samuels been available.

Point is when you break down even with injures key players are available the issue is our manager is utter shite and our squad is utter shite. Our new CEO is utter shite and our owner is utter shite.

He has a lot of budget left. You can piece it together from T&A articles, Parker did a line in most pieces saying where we were budget wise and we were at the million pound mark before we signed Evans, just after we released Vaughan. After that, only Hossanahs loan would count against the cap as he's the only other player we signed over 21. Even if Evans is on 2K a week that still puts us around the £1.1M mark against a £1.5m budget, add to that Hossanahs salary. If we cover 100% of it, he wont be on more than 1K a week tops on a youth deal so you are talking £1.15M out of £1.5M budget, roughly.

This excuse of not using free agents because they "wont be match ready" is just a joke now. Look at his options last night to change the game. Longridge, Cousin-Dawson, Sikora, Samuels, Pritchard & French. It's not like any of those are playing 90 minutes every week. You've got French who plays as a full back with a nose bleed, wants the ball a lot but when he gets it just stands still and waits for options or does a first time lob up the field. Pritchard is the only one with slight experience in this setup with his 5 league starts this season, but he barely had a touch when he came on because as soon as he did, we moved BRE up front and went to hoofing it.

You cant tell me, there isn't a striker or winger sat at home now who wouldn't be a better option to try score a goal than DMH or Samuels? I'm half expecting McCall to sign two free agents on Jan 1st, just because he can.

What about andre green still without a club ? Young fast and more than likely kept himself in good shape . Even if it’s a short term deal till end of the season benefits both parties. Not sure if he’d drop this low

There’s also Danny Rowe who didn’t get offered a new contract at Ipswich -
During many of Rowe’s Ipswich appearances you had a feeling he could make something happen. It didn’t always happen, of course, but the intent was there. You were also often leaving feeling he had more to offer.

Take his performance away at Burton on the opening day of this season, for example. He was deployed on the right of a midfield four and regular picked the ball up, ran with it and cut inside. He had a couple of decent efforts on goal that day which stretched the opposition keeper. You were just left waiting for him to score a goal like that.

He is a hustler and bustler and there’s no shortage of effort. His goal at Rochdale, a winner, showed an ability to be alive to play and put himself in the right position at the right time

All the pieces of the jigsaw appear to be there for Rowe, he’s just not had the chance or been able to showcase them consistently.

Both very good calls, however we all know Stuart is too stubborn to back track. If he did then here are two wingers who are both better than what we have.
