This is why the EFL and clubs need to beg the government mate.

Say season ticket only allowed in, heat checks etc. Fans allowed in at different times. Increase costs of season tickets to only get the hardcore in. No match day sales. No front row seats allowed to be sold.

This is why I said the EFL need to put proposals together even if it meant saying no over 70's at games. Can't just count on this government. The issue needs forcing.

PL clubs are different. They can wait but lower league clubs can't and Ifollow isn't the answer.

Why do you keep saying the same old things @Fordy117@Fordy117 why should over 70's be excluded?

Because of the data mate..The clear bloody data that highlights that its mostly over 70's that die from this virus.

That's funny I thought it was those in the bame community that were more at risk but you seem to fine with allowing them as I have never seen you state they should not attend or you just fishing for bites off the older supporters

We are starting in September to fit in the carabao cup and it’s worth a lot of money to our league. Sparks said so on the zoom forum

No the bame community are not at more risk at all. Read the report carefully!!!!!

The bame community were at higher risk to start with because high percentage are in the frontline of the NHS, bus drivers etc.

The DEATHS are mainly over 70!!! FACT!!!

The top 7-10 clubs of the PL.

We are starting due to Sky and the TV contract the EFL said.

No problem mate if it means me having to pay full even if we cant attend games, us Braford City fans cant grumble we've had it very cheap since 2004 I believe.
I get the arguement that some put forward its Stefans business and he should meet the ongoings of whatever it costs.
I'm lucky our major outgoings are paid for so if that's what I need to do to get MY SEAT I'm prepared to pay it. ;).

    Care to elaborate?
So the strategy is to exclude over 70s. Especially Bronco. Why he should be so lucky I’m not sure. Anything else or is this a 1 point manifesto?

This is not going to happen "how many times do you need telling" (borrowed that from you) if any organisation try and pull the ageism card they will be making a massive mistake and it will be challenged in the courts, there's still a £10 bet if you still believe that will happen.
They might say as you have 70+ are more vulnerable but if the individual is happy to take their chance then that should be enough.

No, I don't want to elaborate and the strategy isn't to exclude the over 70's.

It's about putting a proposal together to online you understand the data. The government would read it and state you don't have to do that. Then you go back again.

I'm watching Aberdeen v Rangers at the moment and most have flicked over about a 100 times. League 2 would be deadful. Ifollow isn't the answer. We need to just get fans back in the grounds.

Ask I say it's about understanding the data. Making clear that you would do it if it came to that. It's highly unlikely the government would say you have too but you never know but we need to follow the data in getting fans back.

However, I don't know the governments end game with this virus. It started to protect the NHS but now it seems like its to stop anyone catching the virus. I don't know. The government needs to be clear what the aim is now.

I get the data and accept people of my age are more vulnerable, some fans my age have said they will not be attending, games as they have underlying health problems.
You look at the beaches down south and people (especially younger people) obviously dont give a though to mass gatherings, they dont seem to understand they may be able to fight off the virus but their parents and grandparents may not.
Ironically when the local news was shown places like Blackpool and Bridlington where no where as packed as Brighton or Bournemouth.

Isn't that the aim though - to get fans back into the grounds? Clearly it is going to take time to get to the stage where everyone that wants to attend is going to be able to though, so in the mean time, there has to be an alternative for those not able to go to the actual game. If you personally don't want to watch on ifollow that's your choice, and equally, you may be right that others will either choose not to watch or will be told they have to go shopping instead. However, I don't see why you are so against ifollow. Of course it isn't the same as actually being there, but for a lot of us that do want to watch games, it is probably going to be our only chance for some time because even when fans do start to be allowed back in, it will be at a much reduced capacity and whether you like it or not, we aren't all going to get in. Therefore, if it's ifollow or nothing, I'll take it.

Spot on mate. It's about putting things in place in the proposal. First no over 70's government will say don't have to do that. Then over 70's have to social distance in the stadium then fine won't have to do that. It's just about offering solutions to drive to an acceptable outcome.

Think some parents are just turning round to their children and saying live your life. I don't know but we can't carry on like this.

It's all starting to become a north v south divide. When people in the north in areas can't visit family then those in the south can do as they please and not even social distance on the Brighton beach.

As I say Scotland(Fans back in September date given) France(Fans back now)..No pilot scheme rubbish.

I just don't trust Boris in what he says or does.

I'm not against Ifollow. I just don't believe it will work.

Wasn't there a quote earlier in the week saying there are more cases starting to be discovered in the 16 - 35 age bracket I know you will say but it doesn't affect them in a way it does 70+ but they would still spread the virus so maybe we best just let those who can prove they are clear of the virus into the grounds?

Oh I'm with you in terms of Boris. Whenever he opens his mouth you can 100% guarantee what's going to come out of it will be a pack of lies.
But yes, I do think the premier league and EFL's aim is to get fans back into the grounds as soon as they safely can.
